I don't think you need to inform it to CIC as they will process your application on the basis of information till the date of submission of your application.

Hi All,

I was encashed yesterday on August 15 (my application received on May 14), so I registered to this forum to be a bit helpful as well.

I have applied under NOC 1112 according to my previous job experience. Currently I am holding a position not related to the NOC I have applied (this info was included in my application) however, I will be changing my position starting from September 1st which is again nothing related to NOC 1112. So, the question is: should I inform CIC about my position change??? Could you please advise.

Thanks a lot! Good luck to all!

Hi,
I have a situation and need your help on this -

I am yet to apply for FSW, waiting for some final documentations and I have my passport getting expired in November 2015. So, assuming the processing takes time for safe side should I renew my passport now itself and send the details of the new passport or there is no probs for me ?

Regards,
Shahid

Submit your application now and later update your visa office

It seems mistakes in the sheet referred below, even the NOC codes incorrectly mentioned... dont worry dude

Hi,
Thanks for the wishes. Have u got ur PR visa or still in the queue? I have a question to ask. Once the application is delivered to CIO, after how much time one will get answer from them? In my case, my application was delivered on 6th of June 2014. How long should I wait for the reply?

Well Thats ridiculous , they cant do like this .. Its clearly mentioned that IELTS test date will be locked on the date your app received CIC amd if your app received before 25 May , they cant reject it at any cost.

Just shoot an email to CIC - Immediately file an appeal , they have to accept your app.. How can they do such a silly thing with anyone :(( , m so sad for your dear ,, Tuff luck...

So did you hear anything from cic on your ielts issue ? If you got email revert?

I just noticed something. The FSW total intake count is very heavily skewed by just a few occupations.

Here are the "hottest" occupations and the number of applications in descending order

1112 - 198
2174 - 197
2173 - 99
2171 - 64
2132 - 58

These 5 occupations total 616 of the 887 accounted for so far. That's a staggering 70 percent of all applications! Of them, computer related fields alone (2174, 2173, 2171) account for 40 percent of all the applications accounted for so far! If you add the 44 applications in the 2281 category- another computer related category- and redo the math, 45 percent of all applicants are in a computer related field! In other words, almost 1 in 2 applicants are in a computer related field!!!!

There are hardly any accountants, professors, physicians, and specialist doctor applicants so far. Why in the world accountants, professors, physicians, specialist doctors haven't applied so far is beyond me!

Physicians have to go through Medical Council of Canada assessment for ECA report which is a long process taking around 3-4 months (See my timelines in Signature) and I don't think many people were expecting FSW-14 to open and Physician occupation's to be in the list. Another reason probably is that it's hard to get residency position in Canada. it's really a length process.
