Thanks alot for the reply. So does it mean that i dont have to worry that the embassy will call my bank to verify?

No, they don't do this. Besides, in many countries, it's illegal for banks to disclose their clients' confidential information except to a court or a judicial party.

Don't really think that it will help you qualify for 2281. this description is more of a system support Engineer/technician, with just one line to mention networks. {but again that's my opinion, what matters is opinion of application reviewer at CiC}
Asif bhai, Oscar... need your expert opinion...

[size=9pt] Dear all, At least two people have reported that their May 20th application has been returned due to a payment issue. Does this means that CIC has another process going on to check payments besides the fee charge and PER process that we all very well know of? May be!!! ::) And of course dates for this one is farther than the dates for both the fee charge and PER ones i.e. they are on May 20th applications received for checking the payment issues. Not sure what to make of this, but is something new altogether!!! ::)

The two folks are:

1 - parikhhg68

2 - 2132_mech_engr

2132_mech_engr in fact learned of this via a reply from CIC on his earlier sent email to enquire about the status of his application. Thanks for sharing this mate!!! Sorry to hear of the issue though! :(

Guys - Let's wait to hear from parikhhg68 on my below post to make more sense out of this.

Most likely they have engage a forward team to screen through the application. This will make the process faster I guess.

About May 20 applicants - guys, so sorry to hear your sad news - however, I was just wondering, can it possibly be that the queue is moving faster than we think and they are already at May 20 not May 14?

@ cjg1987

Don't be too surprised when you find out that a May 20th applicant is getting his/her application reviewed. Here's how I think CIO operates. They have dedicated officers who handle one or more NOCs. For example, there could be a few officers who just review NOC 2174 or related occupations such as NOC 2173, NOC 2171, etc. I think the reason why the mechanical engineering applicant who submitted his application on the 20th of May is getting his application reviewed compared to a NOC 2174s whose applications are in the first week of processing is because the low volume of applicants in the mechanical engineering category.

Hence, I anticipate an applicant in the petroleum engineering category who, for example, submitted his application on the 20th of July will get his/her application reviewed fairly quickly.

Dear Experts,

Just wanted an opinion from your all to know if the below will be considered under NOC 2281. This is what my employer has mentioned in the reference letter. I understand this is a bit technical and that's the reason that I want you all to comment from layman's point of view.

o Responsible for the implementation of desktop and server platforms, printers and other core technologies essential to the company's core infrastructure and businesses
o Provide a 7/24 support “After Hours – On Call” pager support and participate in 7/24 work arrangements as required to support activities (including technology implementation/testing/upgrades required on off hours or weekends)
o Troubleshoot, resolve/escalate technical problems within a timely manner
o Troubleshoot and provide technical support for Lenovo/IBM laptops, desktop, local and network multifunctional printers
o Provided end-user technical support for terminal server environment for both SSL and IPSEC VPN
o Take data backups on regular basis
o Provided technical support for broad range of in house\enterprise wide applications including but not limited to IBM Mainframe, IBM Series (AS/400), Citrix, Internet\Web browser, Tivoli Remote Control applications
o Troubleshoot and resolve networking issues including LAN/WAN, VOIP, Wireless and Mobile networks, Cisco IPT Telephones, Blackberry devices
o Provided password reset support using Net IQ Administration (DRA), RSA Ace Server, Host, Citrix, SQL, with other tools and applications
o Managed help desk trouble ticket volumes, track and document customer calls by using Ticketing system
o Provide & control web & e-mail access to users according to company policies
o Train newly hired Technical Analysts and mentor/train peers and others
o Participated in Business Continuity Plan activities when/as requested

Thank you in advance guys...

This is indeed more like support engineer's description rather than a network tech's job. If possible rewrite the letter.
