Haha, I don't know that much about the trends, am only going by the CIC webpage that is why I am confused. It says 197 completed apps as of August 12, don't really know what that means..Some are saying that 197 apps are only till mid may applications...then why are they updating it in August ? :S....Any information on the same or the trend would be useful....please enlighten me

Hi Krishna,

First of all Congratualtions for your PER email..

You may send an email to your local VO stating your concern after 2 weeks.. They will work on it.. Hopefully you didn't made mistake on your application forms.. All the best..

I'm 8th May applicant. CC date 8th Jul.. Received a mail from CIO today with UCI num, receipt num etc., stating that my application has been placed into processing. Is this the PER mail? I am confused as it is no where mentioned as PER in this email. I checked for status of application on CIC website with the UCI num. It shows "In Process" though.

My main concern here is, my name has been spelled incorrectly every where ("KRISHMA" instead of "KRISHNA"). In this mail and also on Application status on CIC website. I am very much worried this would cause issues. I coudn't find any means to inform them about this mistake that they did on my application.

I really request any of you to advise me if there is any email-id where I could inform them to correct it.

12th-July : ECAS status 'in process'. First time applicant : got the UCI from the help desk phone number agent (you have to try 3 to 4 times to get the right agent).
13th-Aug : PER (Case Officer - SL )

NOC: 2174 (FSW1)


Even though I came to know about this forum, after I sent my application, it has been a great place to hang out with all other friends and to read about other applicant's background, struggle, victories, mishaps and sometimes funny, silly doubts and answers.

PER: 13th of August

NOTE: I found the email in the "junk" folder in Yahoo mail, so please check yours if you are waiting for it.

Yes 197 are total apps who received PERs.. Your app will be considered in this quota only after you receive your PER email..

hello All,
I had one question. If I see the CIC website the total no of applications received for NOC 2174 is 197. Does this number only includes the completed applications for those applicants who received the PER till now?

As my application reached on 12th June, does my application fall under 197 or will it be eligible only after completeness check and when I recieve the PER?

I hope you understand my question.

I just sent my docs for FSWP for the 2174 category. It says on the cic webpage that the number of complete application received till now is 197, which means that till today's date only 197 applications have been considered as completed?. If the page is updated once a week that means that they usually take around 1 week to check completeness of an application and if it is completed they update it on the website the next week.

please correct me if I am wrong ?

Also my application was received by CIC on 11th august, is there a chance that it will make through the cap?

You need to keep patience dear.. Currently May 7th, 8th & 9th applicants are receiving PERs.. Wait for a week or 2.. You will receive your stuff..

I have already received PER from CIO and waiting for AOR from NDVO.(This time NDVO has started processing one FSW 2014 applicants application without issuing AOR.)

Now,i have to inform some important changes in my and spouse application such as address,visa status,contact number etc..

so, do i need to wait until i receive AOR from NDVO to inform about my application changes or Should i do the same with out considering AOR from NDVO ?

Yes go ahead and send your updates to NDVO... No need to wait for AOR.. You don't know if they have started to process your application nowadays..
