Hi All,

My NOC is 0113 - Purchasing Manager.

In this website, http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/QuickSearch.aspx?val65=0113

I can see under "Employment Requirements"

The designation Supply Chain Management Professional (S.C.M.P.) or registration in the educational program of the Purchasing Management Association of Canada may be required.

What does it mean. It means that should I register with SCMP before moving to Canada... ??

Pls reply

Annie

Thanks dear Oscar.. :) :)

[size=9pt] Yes abhi you did say that, you are always a positive member here and thank you for your wishes mate!!! :) :) :) All the best for your PER, abhi!!! :) :)

PS - Partner Shah I don't know anything about giving +1 etc. LOL ;D

I second Oscar's opinion. Last year I got NER because of my education marks as WES evaluate my education as Two Years Undergraduate and assessing officer give 5 points only for education. Though last year I applied through a one of the famous consultant from Canada. After rejection of my application I was very upset & as per my consultant there is no hope unless i update my qualification. At the beginning of this year scheme I was ready to reapply based on some definitions of Two Years Undergraduate but I am thankful to Oscar for his advise at that time as he said that don't portray your opinion.
After that I contacted WES in the beginning of May and asked them what is Canadian Equivalency for my education. After that they put my file showing in process. Then after couple of reminders finally I got news in middle of July that my evaluation is completed and when I saw it online then I really surprised they changed it to Two Years Diploma which is actually mentioned in CIC table & according to it I should get 19 Marks. After getting that report I applied on July 23rd & my application reached on July 28th. Now fingers crossed & waiting for positive response.
Thanks to you Oscar bro... +1 for you.

Only the applicant can say what could be wrong with the application, if anything at all. There are people in the forum who sent copy of ECA and didn't have a clue as to what was wrong in their application. On the other end there are so many guys successful doing everything by themselves and getting a PER news on a daily basis, so there are numerous experts here who know the complete process in and out. What I am trying to say is there is a wide variety of expertise that varies from case to case.

CIC's workings and the %age of chances to be successful are difficult to predict but one just needs to analyze the spread sheet and see where they stand in terms of being the last 10% or 5% or 3% or 1% of applicants for a day who did not receive their 'milestone' yet. Sometimes people just receive a good news late and it could be related to the complexity of their case or something that we can't even predict from here (like absenteeism at CIC).

But being too late can also mean a negative sign at times e.g. for people from before May 5th I am not sure if there is much hope for a good sign any more if they haven't got fee charged yet or even those that are waiting for PER news. Most likely it is negative outcome for them by now, but hey who knows this for sure. For a May 9th case if they haven't received any news by the time CIC has moved to May 14th / 15th cases chances are slim to none to get fee charged after that I'd hope. But one should not hurry in sending another file until they receive the returned file and know the EXACT REASON for return. Sending 2 files with same error won't help, so prepare for another application by all means but only send once the reason for return is 100% clear. :)

[size=9pt] Hi, I am also interested in understanding the profile of successful cases for 0013 and 0015. Please share when yours gets positively evaluated, best wishes mate!!! :)

Right now they have reached to May 13th cases for fee charge.

Bhavin, You seem an experienced CA from India so one question for you please. My experience has been that most Indian CAs don't tend to apply for Canada immigration, in fact many I know just don't wish to leave India. Can you share a few reasons for that - if that is pretty common per your knowledge as well. Or may be I have just ran into those guys, and it is not a common theme though!!! :)

PS - Admin, we might need to correct Bhavin5503's entry in SS. His 0111 package returned on May 9th and he has now applied for 0013 so two lines for him please. Please correct me in case I am wrong, Bhavin! :)

Hi Experts, May 19th Applicant:
I could see few of our friends got rejected due to Job duties not matching and not meeting the Passmark. I have 21 Points on Education, 12 on Age, 24 In language, 5 on Adaptability and 9 hoping I will get 9 on experience as I am showing on 1.5 years of exp in NOC1112 and remaining 3.5 years are of financial services but doesnt match with any CIC mentioned designations. In total of 62 Points excluding experience...The duties doesnt match exactly it looks only partial match..I am worried .will you please let me know your thoughts..

Not an expert but will try to share my thoughts.
Min points requirement for eligibility is 67.
Also, duties should not exactly match. As long as your job roles conform to what they are looking for, you should be fine.

Congrats Neha ! :) :)

Obtaining UCI number

Hi Guys,

May 14th applicant here.
Haven't heard anything from the officials yet. I dont even have my UCI number. I tried calling on their number 001 613 944 4000 to obtain the UCI number, but they refused saying that only the officials have the right to give the UCI as well as the file number.
Is there any other way by which I can get the UCI number at least by giving my application details, etc ?
