I applied for FSW under 2232. I kindly request your advise regarding the followings.

1. My original ECA assessment lost by TNT post and I managed to get a duplicate from WES and sent with my application. Will they accept this duplicate from WES? ( I have now got the original ECA report from WES as I don't have any ref number from CIO, I am unable to send it to CIO. )

The duplicate copy is not a duplicate per se - but it is an ORIGINAL Report from WES and not a Photocopy in itself, right? Therefore this is an Original Copy, a second one at that, and will be accepted.

2.My DOB is on 20 July and CIO received my application on 14 July. I got 67 points if only they consider me before 20 July. Please let me know how they calculate points for age?, Also if I send the original ECA report now, will they reduce 1 point for my age as now it is after 20 July?

Your age is calculated 'as on date' the application was received by CIC. Therefore it will be calculated based upon July 14th 2014. Now going forward, if you send additional documents, CIC pushes your app. back in the queue. Its an interesting question whether that affects the date calculations or not, but in your case you do not need to resend the WES report (i hope) and therefore you do not need to worry about it at the moment.

Note that my original application was terminated on 2012 due to Bill 18, backlog, after doing my medical and paying visa fee. No fee returned yet

Should I also get PCC from USA in my case? It looks like it'll take 16-18 weeks to get one, and I'm not sure if it can be done from out of the country.

This is what i have done.

Started off by calling a few Fingerprint agents. They all quoted 3-4k each for doing fingerprints for me and my wife. Since it seemed exorbitant, I decided to explore other options.



STEP 1
Download and Print the FD 258 form
(try to get 3-4 copies)
(As per the, Character requirements document for the United states,
Provide:
a covering letter if required,
a set of both rolled/inked and plain fingerprint impressions placed on a
standard paper fingerprint card,
satisfactory proof of identity,
consisting of full name,
date and place of birth,
postal address for return of results.


STEP 2
Go to the local police station and get my fingerprints done
(Pay/Bribe then whatever to get this done quickly .)

Step 3: Submit payment.

Option 1: Pay by credit card using the Credit Card Payment Form. Don't forget to include the expiration date of the credit card that you are using.
Option 2: Obtain a money order or certified check for $18 U.S. dollars made payable to the Treasury of the United States. Please be sure to sign where required.

Step 4:

Review the Identity History Summary Request Checklist to ensure that you have included everything needed to process your request.


STEP 5
Courier the FD 258 form to the following address,
FBI CJIS Division – Record Request,
1000 Custer Hollow Road Clarksburg,
WV 26306

Very sad to hear brother ur news...

First of all +1 for the patience u made after such misery....

And now:

1. Yes WES given duplicate report should be acceptable...DOnt worry abt that.

2. Since ur file has reached on 14th Jul, u will get age points upto that day...So no need to be anxious for that....This is very logical... SInce ur file may take over three years to be processed....But they should/will not add this additional three yrs with ur application age....

1. Duplicate original report is OK, as long as you sent this duplicate version of original ECA ( not photocopied) along with proof of education

2. As understood CIO date stamps each application as they are received, and therefore that becomes the locked-in date for calculating validity of documents , age etc.

If your age falls within the age -bracket for which you are claiming points, on the date of receipt, then you are fine.

Website is not required but a contact number, at least a direct line to the board, is required. Is the company not operating anymore ? If it is - it should have a valid contact number. Else - mention your CEO's contact details and preferably attach his business card along with the ref. letter which i believe is on the company letterhead.

Thanks Nishesh for the prompt revert. Company is operational and right now they are in the process of relocation from Panchkula, Haryana to Dehradun. Just had a work with the CEO, he says the landline and fax numbers's are disconnected and will change in couple of months (after relocation completes). Website is going to be down for a while..
He is ready to provide me the exp letter in the company's letterhead along with his business card and his Mobile #. That should work, right? ..Bearing in mind it's not my current company but my previous one.

Just had a work with the CEO, he says the landline and fax numbers's are disconnected and will change in couple of months (after relocation completes). Website is going to be down for a while..

So this is just temporary. That is fine. Just mention the whole thing in a cover letter to CIC. Yes - include your CEO's contact.

I am little curious (being an IT guy) as to why the website itself is going down during this relocation period? Does your company host its web-server "onsite"? Very rare in India assuming its an SME. Just curious.

He is 7th May Applicant,CC Charged on 23rd June,NOC 1112 & PER received - 8th August 2014

Brother,

If u wish (or he agreed), u can enter his details on behalf of him...But in that case u have to remember to update his info regularly when he have his news from CIC...
