Hello Everyone,

My application has reached CIC Sydney on 4/July/14. Do we get any acknowledgement of the receipt? How do we get the file number? Has anyone received something like that so far?

Thanks.

hope yr courier service provider has intimated the day time and the person who has received the application in the CIC's office and so as of now you can consider that as receipt.

regarding a intimation from CIC you will have to wait for a couple of months as CIC is charging the 12-15 May applicants ... and they will soon receive PER which is the first of any intimation sent by CIC regarding your application.

wait patiently and do have a close watch @ spreadsheet and the forum discussions.

You have to wait till payment charge...
After that cic will send per mail to you...
I think you have to wait for 2-3 month to get any response from cic.

Need Info on USA Police Clearance

I have heard it takes 2 to 3 months, I am a 12th May applicant CC charged on 30th July. I have two questions.

1. Can I apply for USA PCC as it might take 2 - 3 months to avoid delay in processing my application.
2. What form should I download from FBI site for PCC

Dear all members,First of all my heartily congratulations to all PER holders and very best wishes to all other members for their PER emails. I am seeking your advise again. As I explained in my earlier post that I already applied in incorrect 2171 NOC and my file reached there on 23rd June. Now, I want to resend new application with correct 2281 NOC. I am waiting for my spouse's additional IELTS TRF. It will take 10-12 days to get that. Without his IELTS I am not sure whether I am scoring 66 points or 68 points. I have calculated my points as follows:Education: 23 (BSc (IT) and MBA)Age : 12IELTS : 22Spouse IELTS: 5 ( confuse? Whether include it or not ?)Work experience: 9 or 11 points (I have two work experiences : 1 year paid training and 9 months experience as system administrator matching with 2281 NOC + 1 year and 4 months current experience as system analyst job duties are matching with 2281 NOC) so total 25 months experience in 2281 NOC My query is am I able to get 11 points on above description of two work experience. Both have long time gap. First one is in year 2006-2008 and second is from last march 2013...till dateDo I need to wait for my spouse IELTS or should I go ahead without that? Am I already too late to apply for 2281?Another big concern, which making us worry every single minute.......... Are we doing right now to send another file without waiting for response of first file? Or are we again doing big mistake by sending another file? Will CIC invalidate both files or accept new file? What will happen if they send PER of first file? Should we wait for their positive/negative response of first file? Or is it too late to apply again by then in this year cap? As per the Canada Gazette of 26th June , an applicant can apply multiple applications at a time but the experience should be vary according to different NOC out of 50 eligible occupations. But my scenario is bit different, earlier I had applied under 2171 NOC and this time my NOC will change to 2281 code and job duties will remain same. So here the question is : is it legitimate to file my second application on same work experience and same Job duties in different NOC code? Is it sound lawful? Plz guys, give me some input on this issue. Your valuable suggestion/opinion can save my family's life. Thanks in advance. Waiting for your reply.............

Addendum to our previous assumption of DD being safe

There are 2 types of International DD (Needless to say that DD should have 6 month validity)

1. DD drawn on one of Canada's Local Bank [SAFEST OPTION]
2. DD drawn on one of Canadian branch of International Bank [better than CC, but still NOT SAFEST]

ONLY DD # 1 (just like Biwi # 1) is SAFE i.e. DD drawn on one of Canada's Local Bank. Make sure you get a DD DD drawn on one of Canada's Local Bank. If your local bank/agent offer's DD drawn on one of Canadian branch of International Bank DONT TAKE IT. SAY NO TO SUCH DD's to remain healthy and TENSION FREE!

The issue with DD # 2 is that International Bank may decide to close their Nostro in Canada and decide to cancel ur DD if its not encashed within 2-3 months.

P.S: Lot of text is repetitive to emphasis the matter.

I want to take DD tomorrow by Thomas cook , they are giving DD or Deusche bank or Bank of America , shall i take it or not

or

shall i contact ICICI as they have Bank of Montreal DDs

plz guide

thanks

i have a query related to the expiry of IELTS....

after reading the forum and going through the post of a fellow member who said " file returned due to expiry of IELTS"

i would like to reconfirm from all our members that IELTS score is valid for 2 years and if your application reached CIC before the expiry date den you are fine ( as the score may expire by the time CIC opens and reviews your case)

moreover its also written in the document check list that the " IELTS" score shall not me more than 2 years when you submit your application @ CIC.

so now the question is how safe can we consider ourselves to be if score expires before CIC opens a case for review?

would suggest you to take DD from Public sector banks as the have their Nostro accounts with the Govt. banks of Canada which in no case would shut their operation.

just to be on the safer side.

NOTE - each and every PSU bank gives CAD draft and you may have to wait for a couple of hours in their foreign branch as they are a bit slow.

OOH, Now i get you. Thought it was information from the visa office. Anyway, do we have to wait for 2 months from the date application was received or from the date that they start working on your file?

It is pretty much depending on the number of applications reached on a day. Mine was reached on May 2 which I believe there were not too many applications so it took me one 25 days to get my DD debited. But as you might see the trend on May 6 going forward, there are many applications so the processing time has been increased significantly from 25 days to more than one month. But since your NOC is cold, i.e not too many people applies, you are more than ok but a little extra waiting time. No worry and be patient.
