Just a telephone call...i called them in morning 9 am...give them reminder at 2 pm...
Nd got my status at 5:30 pm....

Why Iam I not able to change the font size in the PDF forms

Some places it is large font and at some places it is small font.

Iam the only one facing this problem or other too

This is the earliest exam that was available. Called up BC and IDP and both replied that only the dates available online can be booked. They cannot entertain any special request and cannot accommodate anyone. Also, they told me that the exam needs to be booked at least 5 weeks in advance. So, in a way I am lucky to have booked it today. 06/09/2014 is exactly 5 weeks from now and I guess it would have been unavailable tomorrow.

Would it not be better for all of us if we congratulate others using PM instead of using this thread? There is no value for others except for the person one replies to.

It is just a bit exhausting to read through tons of congrats messages (especially those that are already somewhat old) and it would keep the thread so much more cleaner and organized for all of us. :)

Do not want to offend anyone - I could have picked any congrats comment. I just would like to leave space for people who really have news or questions instead of such messages. We have 1500 people in the spreadsheet - if each time, we congratulate them on PER, Charging, Medicals and PPR with 5 people each, we would have 1500x4x5 = 30000 congrats posts in here. ;)

I guess the UCI number would stay for life. I believe even the SIN would stay so but not your health care cards!
 
I just called the immigration office and asked their help for knowing the status of PR application.
They told me that they do not have information about the status for applicant out side the canada for skilled workers.
the only way to reach them is to email CIC.

Then, now i wonder how our other fellow was fortunate enough to get the UCI number over the call??

Hi Everybody,

I am new to the forum. I am planning to start my process for PR application under FSWP program for 2014. I understand the cap is 1000 for category and 25000 across all categories.

Ques:
a) Any idea what is the current status of caps (for 3142 and overall) or where to check it. And would I make it if I start the process now for submitting my application ?
b) I have a Bachelors and Masters in Physiotherapy from India. Do I need to send both degree copies to WES for education credentialing and based on others who have already filed the application, how much time will they take to revert with ECA report ?
c) The proof of funds to be shown needs to be supported by historical statement of how many months ? I mean if I am filing my application in Oct, can I show an FD done in Sept ?
d) My name on the university degree includes my father/mother's name as my middle name (as prevalent in many states in India). But my passport doesnt have the same. I understand I should follow/declare the passport across all my PR aplication documents. But as per WES website, they will issue ECA report in the same name as in degree. Would that create any problem ? Did anyone had same issue ?
e) Lastly would you guys recommend using a consultant/agent for the process or doing it myself. The reason I am asking is because I am also into a full time job and may not be able to take out required time. At the same time, I am not even sure how much would agent/consultant help as many people I spoke to suggested that consultants only make you do all the job and act only as coordinator with CIC. Is that true ?

My application was received by CIC on 22nd May and I guess they are charging 12th May applications, so I have time to sort this issue.
