Sorry, if I may have ruffled a few feathers of your delicate heart. I always knew it to be very strong! :) Jokes apart your suggestion seemed to be encouraging misrepresentation (since you suggested CIC might not keep previous records). An experienced member like yourself needs to be able to 'smell' sh1t from a distance because not all here are as innocent as they would like to project. That said a LOT of people are genuine and innocent and share the right values to help each other.

I like when Future discourages misrepresentation (I am all about that) or just how Century wrote one line later which to me very clearly showed he too doesn't encourage misrepresentation. That in my mind increased respect for him.

Hi can any one help on this!!
I (principal applicant) and my spouse applied in early july. My spouse mother's first name is different in my spouse birth certificate and different in the passport. Her birth certificate had alias/nickname (first name) of her mother. So she mentioned correct passport name in all the forms and attached a supplementary sheet explaining that birth certificate name is incorrect and signed it. But no specific affidavit was enclosed, please suggest if this would be a problem, if so what can i do now.

Background checks usually are done after the file reaches the local VO.

But it is not impossible to at least make a phone call and clear out doubts if any for the CIO officers before sending the PER .

Reference letter can be taken from someone who actually worked with you on the same organization , knows you personally and has seen you performing the duties.

please confirm if i am right or not? or need to fill with NA all over.

following forms not mandatory to send
1) Use of a Representative (IMM 5476)(As having no representative)
2) Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union (IMM 5409) - as i am unmarried and applying for self only
3) Separation Declaration for Minors Travelling to Canada (IMM 5604)
4) Additional Family Information (IMM 5406)
5) Additional Dependants/Declaration (IMM 0008DEP)

In check list not applicable needs to be left unchecked or need to write NA as well?

it all depends, did you attached 10th certificate with father name also. if 10th certificate is there then no issue else its discrete decision of
