Re: GTwana's case...
The cic reply was kinda vague. From my point of view, the JD seems spot on for 2174/2173 - I doubt the problem lies within those task descriptions. I would go over the supporting documents though:
- was the attestation a self-made one? if yes, was it made a legal statutory declaration with attached exhibits/evidences/proof?
- did you attach COMPANY SIGNED/STAMPED employment certificate?
- if you provided photocopies of original documents (work contracts, employment cert, salary slips, etc), were those photocopies legally notarized as copies of the original?
These are just some of the variables I can think of that would've facilitated getting a positive result. My section on work documents that I submitted with my app was nearly a hundred page (all either notarized or part of sworn statutory declaration) for about 10 years of work experience. As a guideline for my app, I did the ff:
- had a few initial pages making up my sworn declaration affidavit that I have what experience I claim to have in 2174 (last year - cap reached)/2173 (this year - cc charged) with notes pointing to the pages for my notarized copies of proofs/evidences (empl. contract, employment certs from HR, 6 months salary slips, tax returns, colleague/supervisor attestation with their business card)
- all statements from HR and previous work colleagues have contactable phone numbers/official business cards with their designation. I've also included in the sworn affidavit an explanation of how i'm related to them and how it is that their relevant as further proof of my work experience (included organizational charts to show where I am in the employee food chain and where that colleague is)
- statements/documents from HR normally reinforce the info on wether you worked as full-time, your compensation, your official work designation, and wether you've cleared properly (if you aren't with the company anymore) - they should also state their contact numbers (or email, company website)
- attestation from colleagues or supervisors would then reinforce your duties and responsibilities. I've also added the Job adver that I applied for which led me to the job offer/contract
It's not just a few pages but having all these really helps CIC give you a positive decision. For so much documents/proof, they should be properly organized, indexed as to facilitate the easy review of your work qualifications. Having a ton of unorganized documents would probably just annoy the cic officer sorting through it.
my 2 cents.
