hello dear friends,
it seems that PERs are going in a turtle slow pace. any idea why?
my CC was encashed on July 17 but no PER till now. the ecas can be seen online as in process "you application was received on May 7", but I am becoming anxious.

Seriously? It has been just over 7 days since your CC has been charged. In fact it would be a shocker if they gave you a PER so quick!

Do cic accepts the birth certificate issued by Indian Embassy for the children born in Saudi... plz share me the details..

I believe so - YES.

Since the child is of Indian Origin born in Saudi Arabia (and the Saudi do not give you citizenship) the Birth Certificate will have to ideally come from the Consulate General of India in Saudi Arabia.

I'm exactly in the same situation.
In general, applying for a visitor visa (TRV) while waiting for PR is allowed, and there are known successful examples from the past.
I've applied for a TRV just a few days ago, from U.S., and right on the next work day the visa office has requested my passport - I hope it's a good sign :) I guess they don't request a passport unless they've approved the visa.

Detailed info on this subject here:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2009/ob131.asp

Hope it's not too offtopic for this thread.
Ohh good to know this dmitrych... also i guess i didn't congratulate you on your PER. So congrats :) i am not able to view spreadsheet from a long time (doesn't open at office). Will you let me know how many of 5-6th may applicants are still awaiting PER?

Don't spread rumours when you are yourself saying its a non reliable resource!!

PS: Edited my comment as it was a little too harsh.

I may need to get a visitor visa as awaiting LMIA to extend my current TWP and awaiting PER to get a BOWP. Between the speed of CIC and EDSC I'm getting grey hair ;D

An affidavit can solve this issue...

Affidavit is mandatory for this? because passport they will usually use name in expanded forms.

Not Yet, read this before taking any decision.

in FSW 2013, CIO has rejected application because birth certificate issued by High Commission of India in Mauritius was not accepted by CIC.

Here are the details of applicant:

Mauritius2013 1112 5/13/2013 5/21/2013 7/17/2013 57 Birth Certificate issued by High Commission of India in Mauritius not accepted by CIC
