Dear Seniors,
This is my very early post here. I am planning to apply under 2132. However, my former employer could only provide the following statement on letterhead citing company policy. He agreed to provide another statement on while paper, basically a summarized version of the following plus this statement "Mr. XXX should be considered as a Mechanical Engineer by profession for his appointment as Major Engineer at Company A."
The purpose of this letter is to confirm that Mr. XXX was employed by Company A as a Major Engineer, a full time position scheduled for 48 hours per week, from Month Year to Month Year. Mr. XXX reported directly to myself. As a Major Engineer with Company A, Mr. XXX worked on projects in thermal-fluid design and developments of next generation equipment in meeting ever-changing market demands in various industries, such as automated control, computing and telecommunication. Mr. XXX’s core responsibilities involved conducting thermal-fluid simulations to study the feasibility of current and proposed specifications of thermal-fluid processes in equipment. Mr. XXX also looked at thermodynamics of the system and investigated probable causes of failure due to thermal-fluids issues associated with the design and/or manufacturing processes of the equipment and possible solutions to these issues.
With respect to his employment with our company, Mr. XXX's typical work activities included, but were not limited to, the following:
• Simulated the polymer flows processes within equipment to predict and visualize flow evolution. Determined possible causes for incomplete filling process.
• Examined the effectiveness of polymer flow processes with lower risk of incomplete filling.
• Developed models for finite element analysis and/or CFD analysis.
• Studied the system performance of current design by examining the heat and fluid flows within equipment through simulations.
• Studied ways to improve cooling in equipment.
• Assisted in the development of the test equipment for reliability and thermal cycle tests.
• Wrote technical documentation for design, model and process flows.
I already got my ECS and IELTS. Still waiting for the police clearance from various countries.
Questions:
1. Would these two statement sufficient and fulfill the job verification requirements? I am concerned as the duties listed below do not match the one on the NOC handbook word by word. Meanwhile, I am more of thermal/fluid engineer and not doing much on actual mechanics design.
2. Can I submit two almost identical statements as stated to prove my Mechanical Engineer background?
3. Is it too late now to finish preparing and submit an application?
4. I heard that the CIC prefers candidates with evenly distributed IELTS scores. Mine was only 7.5 in writing and 9 in other three section. Would that affects the application?
Thank you all in advance. Any advice are of much appreciation.
