For case specific query, you need to e-mail at CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry @ cic.gc.ca . Mention your full name and date of birth.

For getting UCI:
 Procedure to get CIC agent on phone
 Call at – 0016139444000
 Select 1 for English
 Then 1 for foreign affair
 2 for immigration
 Call is being transferred to CIC
 Then 1 for English
 2 for status
 1 for PR
 Press 0 or When it asks you to enter UCI number just be on hold n let it say it 3 times then the call is automatically transferred to an agent
 Agent will ask information about last name, first name, date of birth, application received date, email id etc.

I have a question, which one is safe and reliable for Payment for CIC.. it is DD or CC (International Credit Card), if its Credit Card any idea how much Credit I should hold in my Card for 2 - adults and 1 - child of <5 years ?

You have done all the spade work..... now its time to spend some money .......... just pay 5-6 K to Union COuncel guy per person and he will provide it to u in 2-3 days. However, as u may have disclosed him that u need it for Immigration, now u may have to spend even higher amount per person.

Its tried and tested, i got paid 6 K and got it next day, but that was full working days.... for u it may take 2-3 days due to shorter working hours.

I paid 4000 for marriage certificate n birth certificate for all of us. If u are in karachi i can recommend u someone.

For safe.. Its DD.. Total amount for 2 adults 1100 dollar n 150 for each child

From my point of view, DD is the safest. Incase of CC, you need to hold $1250 (550+550+150) Credit on your CC to make that transaction go through.

I am reluctant to even post this, but here goes.

There is a way to get your UCI without waiting for PER.

This will be useful for those of you who have never applied for a Canadian visa before and have no UCI to check your ECAS status (like me).

I just called up the standard CIC service center, waited on hold for a while (about 15 minutes), and asked the agent for my UCI. After confirming some personal details, she gave me my UCI. I was able to use it to log into ECAS and check my status, even though I have not yet received the PER e-mail.

Some people have said the CIC number doesn't work outside of Canada. It does, it's just not free like it is from within Canada or the USA. You'll be paying the standard rate your provider charges for calls to Canada. Some people also have said CIC won't give you your UCI or a phone update on your application. They might, if you are friendly and get the right agent. I didn't ask about the status of my application because I know they'd tell me the same thing that I can see in ECAS.

Please, PLEASE, PLEASE don't flood CIC with calls. Remember, payments are charged soon after the envelopes are opened. Right now, they are working on May 7, 8 and 9 applications, so anything later than that is sitting in a stack somewhere and hasn't been opened so there will be no UCI assigned. This is really only useful for people whose application date has begun charging, so they can see their status between that time and the time of receiving PER. If you submitted your application sometime in June or July or even the second week of May it hasn't been opened and hasn't been assigned a UCI so PLEASE don't send a tidal wave of calls to CIC. That is why I hesitated to post this at all.

Seniors and Experienced peoples pls can you help me answer the below question.

Employment experience letter should be recent or can I use the old one?

I have changed my employer 2 years back and I have the experience letter which satisfies CIC requirements which was prepared 2 years back, Will that help or should I get a current dated one from the old employer again.

If the old letter really satisfies CIC requirements and describes your duties in such a way that you are a good match with your NOC I think you are good to go using that one.

DD is safe, If you use CC for three members it 1250 CAD , and if u from india the exchange rate is 56, 1250*56 = 70000, its safe to keep 90000.

seems rate in KHI is higher OR those CHEETAHS have smelled PREY in form of immigration applicant,

In Lahore its 2-3k per person.

NOC 2174 ... App reached : May 7th TIme 1.57 PM Mike

Payment Mode : DD ( Encashed on July 8th).
Online status : In process ( verified with last year UCI) : ECAS status updated on July 10th.
