One more thing which i discussed also why WES did not accept my degrees?? those are attested by HES and ii was also in SEALED Envelope... this is only because i did not submit those certificates or any thing else????

You have wriiten HES .. Did you mean HEC ... Were photocopies of your original Degree Certificates and Marks Sheet/Result Card attested by the HEC ... Did you request for all attested photocopies to be placed in an official sealed envelope ...

Dear members, please help

I am considering a credential evaluation but came across a question:
Say if I have a Bachelor degree from home country and a Master degree from another country other than Canada. Do I have to evaluate my Bachelor degree?
I am thinking that I will be judged by the highest degree so a lower degree evaluation may be a waste of time and lead further cost?

Hi, Yes you can have only your Masters degree evaluated. Bachelors evaluation is not required. Logic behind this is , you will get 23 points for Masters and 21 for Bachelors. Now if you assess both of these you are not entitled to get 23+21= 44 points. You will get points for Masters only.

However it is important for you to check the WES free online assessment tool and find out the Canadian Equivalency for your degree. If its Masters then you are fine.

But if its not Masters , then I am afraid you need to assess your Bachelors also . In this case you can claim points for two Postgraduate Degrees which is 22.

Finally if you don't need the above additional 1 point to meet the eligible pass mark 67, you can go forward with your application with Masters credential evaluation only , even if its evaluated as Bachelors by WES.

hehe... i didn't say that it's my ecas status.. i'm just asking because there are many applicants in the SS that didn't receive PER but their ecas status is "in process".

I am May 7th Applicant and can see by ECAS status "in process" i.e your application is recieved on 7th May". I used DD as mode of fee payment. However, I still do not have any confirmation from bank whether DD got encased or not.

Shall we take this +ve ? if your file got rejected then you would not be able to login ECAS.. Is that true?

Dear Harsh, You don't need to be negative on this. I paid by DD as well but haven't spoken to my banker about encashed. Will see on Monday.

In my understanding, it should have been encashed thats why its In Process.

Another, I haven't heard of anyone from last year or so which has In process first and then rejected.

Stay positive... Your banker may not confirm but stay positive for PER. 8) 8) 8)

my mistake it is HEC...

yes I asked for both the attestation of Original and photocopy with sealed envelope... and forward the same sealed envelope to WES also...

No one can say for sure but PER's, yes counted in CAP.

WES requires, besides higher education credentials, HSC and SSC certificates also ... The detailed procedure is as follows:
1. SSC Certificate :
Go to the Board of Secondary Education with a copy of your mark sheet and your SSC certificate.
Then there get your mark sheet attested and your SSC certificate get it verified ... There are diiferent booths for each of them ... Each will take 10 days to process ... (with a fee of around Rs 500 for marksheet attestation and Rs 600 + for certificate verification). They will give you a date to collect those verified docs ..
On that day get the attested marksheet and get it sealed from there, get the verified Certificate and get it sealed .. Write your WES ref no top of that sealed envelope ..
Then go to courier section with Rs 3,000 and ask them to send it to WES by DHL ... Hopefully it will be delivered in three days ...

For HSC (Intermediate Certificate) ... Go to Board of Intermediate Education and do the above procedure ... The problem with HSC board is that they send by Pakistan Post which takes 30 days and docs occasionaly get lost ... Ask for their help to DHL the docs and they will probably do it ...

Just to add on... My app was returned last year because of CAP reached. So I have UCI with returned app.

Also, I wasn't able to see any update till last day with that UCI. But today, its there, says Received on 8th May.
