Have to provide the latter in a separate letter by my supervisor without company letter head. He states as part of this job description letter that he is not allowed to provide job description on letter head due to company policy (it is a well-known IT company). Along with that I will also provide an affidavit, confirming that he is my supervisor and that such letter on company letter head cannot be provided and send all that along with one of his business cards. His business card and my job title that is part of the official company letter include both the account I work for, which should make that even clearer.

Hope that will be sufficient, but from what I have read, that should be fine.

I am also facing same problem.Mine ex-company is also national player. I looked a region for 3 years BUT still there is red-tapism /bureaucratic culture. Not getting required letter.

Is such thing(mentioned by CAJan) acceptable by CIC.

Any reflection/guidance plz.

Yes it is infact !! He is including all the right things .. Forumite Oscar has done the same and has gotten an ECAS update.

@Oscar could you please assure our friend here :) :)

So how his application gor rejected? They said his CLB level was considered 7..and points were considered accordind to that...

CIC will accept on CLB level. If IELTS average band should match with CLB Level 7 and more. Ur friend level shows below CLB7

CLB Level Speaking Listening Reading Writing Points per ability
7 6.0 6.0 6.0 6.0 4
8 6.5 7.5 6.5 6.5 5
9 and above 7.0 – 9.0 8.0 – 9.0 7.0 – 9.0 7.0 – 9.0 6

Hi Experts,

My friend sent today the app to CIO with feddex.

On Feddex envelope he wrote:

Citizenship and Immigration Canada
49 Dorchester Street
Sydney, NS
B1P 5Z2
Canada

He missed to write:
Federal Skilled Worker
NOC Category
Primary NOC 2011 Code: XXXX

Inside the Feddex envelope he put his own envelope and there is the all address:
Citizenship and Immigration Canada
Federal Skilled Worker
NOC Category
Primary NOC 2011 Code: XXXX
49 Dorchester Street
Sydney, NS
B1P 5Z2
Canada

It's ok ?

Thank you

I believe it should be fine, I have sent it the same way and I believe so have many others. I think they open up the Shipping Packs and remove your envelope and place it in a storage area which gets cleared on a FIFO basis

Hi,

I am about to send my application tomorrow, but really worried about payment mode.
I would like to pay through credit card, can some one who used credit card help me in choosing my card:

i have 2 cards, both chip enabled.
1) SBI visa signature card - sbi bank
2) CITI visa reward card - citi bank

which card should i used, and will it ask for OTP or not ?

i checked with bank and they said both cards are valid to do international online payment and use internationally.

Please someone help who already got charged using one of such cards,

Hi all,

I had emailed CIC earlier and they replied yesterday confirming that my file is in my VO (London in my case). ECAS does not show this but CIC confirmed it via email. I have updated the spreadsheet accordingly for any LVO status update hopefuls.
LVO seems quite slow.

Congrats.......partyyy :P :P :P :P :P

I was traveling for months in Australia on a work and travel visa, living in half-a-dozen hostels during that time. However, I stayed officially registered with my home address in my home country.

Shall I include those hostels under the following point of the background declaration (Q 12) or leave them?

"Indicate the residential addresses where you have lived since your 18th birthday or the past 10 years, whichever is most recent, complete with the postal code."

thanks!

I think, you should call the customer care of your respective credit card companies and ask them to increase your international spending limit.

we are never informed by the credit card companies about this limit.

maybe this will help. and you can use any card out of them. both are good to go.

best of luck. :)

U have to mention that address, because ur passpost shows u have been travelled to australia. As per passport u should mention it properly to avoid unneccessary conflicts
