Hi,
I was checking the data in the spreadsheet and there are only 9 entries which have received medical requests and all are from Ottawa VO. Has no one else received the medical request or is the sheet not updated for it?
Brother,
time has not arrived for medical request.
Ottawa applicants have VO is from the same country thats why they have got the request so early.
Generally, If we compare to FSW 2013 trends then it takes 1-2 months to get file transferred to local visa office once you get the PER. Then another 1-2 months for medical request.

Just check the spreadsheet for 2013 under visa issued column and you will get better idea from statistics.

Thanks Varun... I was going through the forum and someone from 7th May had replied that he got the medical request.. that too from ND VO.. Hence the question in my mind.

I sent my application .
was received on July 3rd OCC (0121) plz uodate

I did not sent PCC. is that a problem?

1. Later when I get the Police Certificates do I directly send it to the Visa Office (VO) of my country? I understand that you first send the application to the CIO. After a PER they send it to the VO. So do I directly send it to the VO after the file has been transferred?

2. If I wait for the VO to request the PCC from me, would they have a time-limit/deadline for me to send it e.g. Does the VO send you a request that you should submit the PCC in 30 days? What happens if for some reason my PCC takes more than 30 days?

3. Finally, if anyone knows, how long does the VO take to request the PCC once they get your file? Is there some way to get a rough estimate of when they would request the PCC? E.g. 3 months after the PER (I know the CIO does this)? I'd be happy to hear of your timelines irrespective of country.

Thank you in advance

Hi, just relax, all international drafts are valid for 6 months. They are not bound by the local banking rules of your country. Once it's international, it's good for encashment for 6 months, all the best with your application :)

Thomas cook does issue DD with a validity of 6mths. But the risk is after expiry they would not reimburse the amount.
I got this info from Thomas cook rep. Are you guys aware of any application getting delayed beyond six months?

Hi,

One of my friend application was returned as his points were reduced to 66 due to IELTS score. Because he got 6 in writing so they calculate 16 points for his IELTS.

His IELTS score was L-7.5 R-7 S-7 w-6.

I am worried now, even I got 6 in writing.

Please advise whether to give IELTS again or not...

CLB Level Ability: Speaking Ability: Listening Ability: Reading Ability: Writing Points per ability
7 6.0 6.0 6.0 6.0 4
8 6.5 7.5 6.5 6.5 5
9 7.0 – 9.0 8.0 – 9.0 7.0 – 9.0 7.0 – 9.0 6

So ur friend would have got

L-7.5 - 5 points
R-7 - 6 points
S-7 - 6 points
w-6. - 4 points

So in total ur friend got 21 points and not 16 points.

What is your IELTS score?

I hope you have made an entry into spreadsheet which we forum members maintain, you can find the link in the footer of this post.

No problem at all, you can send it afterwards when your VO ask for it.

1. Later when I get the Police Certificates do I directly send it to the Visa Office (VO) of my country? I understand that you first send the application to the CIO. After a PER they send it to the VO. So do I directly send it to the VO after the file has been transferred?
When VO ask for PCC, then only you need to send PCC to VO. And yes to VO not CIO

2. If I wait for the VO to request the PCC from me, would they have a time-limit/deadline for me to send it e.g. Does the VO send you a request that you should submit the PCC in 30 days? What happens if for some reason my PCC takes more than 30 days?
no time limit, but the sooner you provide your file will move ahead faster for visa. Passport seva kendra provides in one day, and police station process takes 15 days max.
3. Finally, if anyone knows, how long does the VO take to request the PCC once they get your file? Is there some way to get a rough estimate of when they would request the PCC? E.g. 3 months after the PER (I know the CIO does this)? I'd be happy to hear of your timelines irrespective of country.
generally 3 months after PER
Thank you in advance

Your 21 points are perfect. No issues my friend.

Do we have to pay any fee when we send our passport to the VO? Do we pay 490 CAD for applicant and spouse when applying for PR?

Brother, Certain people in the forum ask a lot of questions, more than their fair share. It becomes very difficult to help everyone if questions are asked at this rate. Over the last few days I am also checking the PINOY forum (i.e. guys from Philippines) and am so happy to see a very disciplined attitude there with very limited amounts of questions being asked in that forum.

One has to take the pain of reading past pages of the forum to check for similar questions being asked previously and what was answered there. Here certain folks think it is their right to just throw a new question at the drop of a hat, and expect answer to it asap. Even unfortunate is when people sometimes expect multiple view points / replies / votes to their questions (as they are not satisfied with the help offered).

The point is PLEASE take the pain to read the basic information available to all of us. Do some homework, just don't send questions flying for small things like it is not letting me type this or that on the form. Just use a black pen then, over the printed form, as simple as that.

It pains to see how many people just expect to type the questions without doing their due-diligence. Although the good thing is there are a LOT more mature people here, that take the time and patience to answer and help others. Most folks don't really ask basic questions, it is a small proportion. Hopefully my post will not rub you or anyone the wrong way, take this as constructive criticism. Enjoy!! :)

PS - You do not have the right here to make gender specific comments on someone who helps selflessly when all you have done here is asked for help time and again. It does not reflect rightly on you brother SMFAHAD. If you are applying to an NOC like 0111 we expect you to behave like a manager at least. Good luck!!

And what does this reflect on you , the way you have replied ... Do you honestly think you are behaving like a manager by being sarsactic .. This post I remember you wrote exactly for someone else so what it reflects on you brother ... If one knows certain thing that does not give him/her the freedom to write sarcism ... I said what I have been noticing since last one month since I joined this forum ... Ashif/ Century/Kollins or even you have always come to our help ... I know you don't need to and Even I don't expect it !!
