Dear Asif

Will u remove my entry in the spreadsheet . I have to make some changes and will be making a fresh entry .
Name is simarwalia88

Brother, Certain people in the forum ask a lot of questions, more than their fair share. It becomes very difficult to help everyone if questions are asked at this rate. Over the last few days I am also checking the PINOY forum (i.e. guys from Philippines) and am so happy to see a very disciplined attitude there with very limited amounts of questions being asked in that forum.

One has to take the pain of reading past pages of the forum to check for similar questions being asked previously and what was answered there. Here certain folks think it is their right to just throw a new question at the drop of a hat, and expect answer to it asap. Even unfortunate is when people sometimes expect multiple view points / replies / votes to their questions (as they are not satisfied with the help offered).

The point is PLEASE take the pain to read the basic information available to all of us. Do some homework, just don't send questions flying for small things like it is not letting me type this or that on the form. Just use a black pen then, over the printed form, as simple as that.

It pains to see how many people just expect to type the questions without doing their due-diligence. Although the good thing is there are a LOT more mature people here, that take the time and patience to answer and help others. Most folks don't really ask basic questions, it is a small proportion. Hopefully my post will not rub you or anyone the wrong way, take this as constructive criticism. Enjoy!! :)

PS - You do not have the right here to make gender specific comments on someone who helps selflessly when all you have done here is asked for help time and again. It does not reflect rightly on you brother SMFAHAD. If you are applying to an NOC like 0111 we expect you to behave like a manager at least. Good luck!!

@shah2014

So I need 1 full set of documents from matric onwards for HEC record
Should take at least 2 or 3 sets of documents which I want to be attested and sealed by HEC

Yes I know they do not attest matric and Inter documents but as I specifically asked ICAS they said they dont need Matric and Inter degrees. Do you suggest to send them to ICAS?

I have done 2 years bechlors (B.Com) from Punjab College of Commerce and 2 Years Masters from Punjab College of Business Administration (PCBA/PICS) and they both falls under UCP now. Will it make 4 years bachelors? Because you actually requires 16 years of education. Yes of course I will lose marks for not having a masters degree according to Canadian education system.

You have to take 2 sets of photocopies to HEC, one for attestation & one for their record. The record copy shud have Matric onwards docs. Attestaion copy is only the docs u want to be attested. Reach there Lhr office after Sehri :o or make someone stand in Q for u, if u dont know some biggy. :-X

Btw HEC does NOT attest Matric/FSc degrees.

I would suggest get 2-3 sets attested by HEC (all sealed).

You have BS Comp Sc or BBA? Most probably, u completed the degree in 3 years, i can tell u a trick to make it a 4 yr degree (if u pay $350 Oscar Shah LLP's consultation fee). Btw, with 3 yr bachelor degree, ur 2 year master may not be considered a Master (23 points wala).

Hey!

Thanks to this forum. I was able to compile my app for 1112 which was received on 06th June 2014. The cap has come reached 116, but the status is as on 04th May 2014. Is that true that the applications received are already 116 until 04th May 2014.

I think they might not have updated the date. I am not sure if I am still in the fray?

Please clarify.

Thanks in advance.

@Dhaka2014

When you select country on their website it shows the link to review list of universities which they assess for that specific country. You can check for Bangladesh: http://www.wes.org/ca/fswp/requireddocuments/index.asp

I didn't know that WES handles only specific universities in a list. I guess the list of universities you are talking about are 'AccessWES' linked universities that have access to WES system and can approve a WES applicant online immediately. For other universities, they contact the registrar by email or regular mail to verify the name and certificates of the applicant.

Which means, they do ECA assessment for any recognized university in the world. (Recognized here means recognized by country's board of higher education or national recognition).

Correct me if I am wrong.

Hi,

One of my friend application was returned as his points were reduced to 66 due to IELTS score. Because he got 6 in writing so they calculate 16 points for his IELTS.

His IELTS score was L-7.5 R-7 S-7 w-6.

I am worried now, even I got 6 in writing.

Please advise whether to give IELTS again or not...

A bad news - DD's are valid only for 3 months - check the businesstoday -- Money Today dated Tue, July 8, 2014 15:17 IST

Ohh God!!please wake up these CIC guys and get my DD encashed before it expires :'(

Hi, just relax, all international drafts are valid for 6 months. They are not bound by the local banking rules of your country. Once it's international, it's good for encashment for 6 months, all the best with your application :)

Hi,
I was checking the data in the spreadsheet and there are only 9 entries which have received medical requests and all are from Ottawa VO. Has no one else received the medical request or is the sheet not updated for it?

For Pakistan, yes, you are right.. I just opened the link for Pakistan and I saw the RED comment "WES evaluates documents from designated academic institutions ONLY. (Review list >>)
If your institution is not included on the list it cannot be evaluated by WES at this time."

For other countries (including Bangladesh), I don't see this comment. Means they accept all universities.

Apologize for my reply. I didn't know that they have a specific university list for Pakistan. Is there any other country that have specific university list?!
