Hi jpn:

I think 2 payment form is acceptable. In the payment form, the example reiterates it.

My worry is whether your friend just multiplied the risk factory by 2.

We got one incident where an applicant included RPRF in the form; later on when he realized, RPRF not require, he reduce the credit limit for charging the correct processing fee. However, CIO tried to charge with the amount include RPRF.

So, scenario could be, if one card don't work, application could be rejected. And, scenario 2, they charge both of the cards.

So, asked your friend to keep both the card into vaults ensuring increased credit limit.

have your freind register here on the forum and make his entry into the tracking sheet. I think having as many applicants here on the forum and on the list, helps everyone. The estimates that people publish are better when the count of people is as close to the the real count of applicants.

Now wats the next step??

Hello all,

Could you please clarify this point of mine for claiming points based on work experience.

For work experience, how does one calculate his experience (30 hours/week = 1440 hours = 1 year ) according to Canada???

I work around 47 hours/week (mentioned in all appointment letters), so do I calculate my number of years based on hours/week or calender year wise in order to claim points.

I would highly appreciate if you could guide me in this regard.
Thank you.

Hi seniors,

Is there any indication of how many application CIC can process in a day? Maybe based on prior year experiences.

I know there are many factors that can influence this and by no means do i expect the number to be 100% accurate.

My calculation using the current spreadsheet came to just under 7 per business day.

Lets say my DD or CC is charged (ECAS in process) and I pass the initial stage and my application is up for final review before PER.

At this stage if I fail, my money is obviously not coming back and from what I have read from other posts neither is the application packages.

What happens at this stage .. Do they only send a letter... Is an email sent for NER ?

EDIT: This is a just for Info Question .. for me and all other people who are at this stage ..

Hi cjg, The reason quoted was responsibilities does not match sufficiently with NOC guidelines, or something along that line. It is quite simple that the entire FSWP is based on at least 1 year job in a given category and if the person's job is not matching sufficiently then that raises a 'red flag' to CIO guys. If instead of the longer sentences given by CIC for a specific NOC one uses mere key words or very, very short bullet points it does not establish the role match properly. I don't assume CIO guys to be experts on a field but a mere layman, and this assumption forces me to draft an excellent 'roles and responsibilities' match. Can't give the name of the person without his permission but please go and look in the spread sheet at the bottom, you will know who it could be. BTW, he has now fixed and re-send. Cheers, mate!! :)

Haha Oscar my friend, I totally took the phrase "short bullet points" to another level .

I was thinking "short bullet points" to be something like -, and was scratching my head wondering whats wrong with it.

Lol my apologies for silly misunderstanding.

By the way can't agree more with what you have said about roles and responsibilities.

Cheers!

My dd encashed 30 days before. No PER

Hi binuky:

Did some research on your case. Found that on FSWP upgradation issue by WES, it may taka a long long time to get PER. Following the cases for FSWP 2013 applicants and the time between Fee Encashed date and PER date is given below:

Forum Member Having Problem Days B/W Fee & PER
atipra 163
sunlight11 35
swapnil3353 53
Dr.Megha 22
Shripad 16

So, best thing is to do is having patience. Rarely a file rejected after encashment. So relax. :) :)

Hi GrantM, I would love to see your calculation / analysis that shows the number at about / under 7 per business day. Cheers! :)
No problem my friend.

Please bear in mind very rough calculations.

From spreadsheets apps received date and status tab, assuming they are complete with 7 May.

From 1 May to 7 May is 287 applications.

47 working days - 2 public holidays = 45 days

287 / 45 = 6.37 per day.

@Century

What is this?

Ah yes .. but if you take that to a global scale i.e. out of just our spreadsheet .. and as per official information from CIC Page which is at 491 updated about 4 working days (1 holiday) ago ..

you get 491 / 41 = 12 per day
