Applicants who cannot determine an appropriate NOC code for their occupation can contact the NOC Inquiry team at noc-cnp @ workingincanada.gc.ca.
Be sure to list your job duties and the education requirements for your occupation when you contact them. They will be able to provide you an appropriate NOC Code for your occupation.

Note that the final decision to approve an NOC code for an applicant's occupation lies with a CIC officer. The NOC team can only guide or help you choose an appropriate code, however the final decision lies with a CIC officer.

I had earlier gotten an email from NOC-CP when I requested that they should guide and assist me to choose the noc related to my job description.
When they replied me, it seems they wrote the remark for NOC 1111 because it is a regulated profession in all the canadian provinces, even though the decision lies with the CIC VO.

Here in india, someone is eligible to sit for a particular exams (for government jobs) for certain jobs based on the age equal to his complete numbers of year on a specific date..

so, it seems that here also they will consider it similarly... it will be based on age completed years on date of application received by CIO

friends, pls correct me if I am wrong here...

One who has already completed 36 years, is definitely into the 37th year. It is just that the 37th year hasn't finished yet. It is considered finished on the day one eats the cake, but it started with the last year's cake.

Hi,

I am from Dhaka. I am single and live with my parents and 2 sisters. What will be the number of dependent in the general form?

Like for the question no 3> Indicate the total number of family members included in your application.

Thanks in advance.

You are single and unmarried with no children (whether biological or adopted) . It means the number of family members included in your application including yourself will be One(1)

I agree that you will get 11 points because you are 36.x years but not completely 37.

But that it is ambiguously written by CIC is also a fact.

hi FavourMercy,

so, did you get any firm response related to your NOC from this email??

I mean to say, have they given any affirmative answer.... or just they have referred to a set of possible NOCs based on your job duties and the decision to chose relevant NOC will depend on you..

thanks for this info.... pretty much useful..

Pls can you share the email address to confirm NOC corresponding with job duties...

:) :)

Degree/certificate is immeterial for identifying NOC by CIO, only experiences do matter for them. So don't worry with your degree/certificate.

hi, newbie here... help me to add my data in global spreadsheet. i cannot access the link (tinyurl) because the site is blocked here in Saudi ARabia.

Hi All,

I am claiming 5 points under relative in canada. The only proof of residence available with me is my aunt's bank statement. Today my cousin shared bank statement, for the month of apr to may, of joint account of my aunt and cousin. It is a computer generated single page containing name and address of my cousin and aunt and date.

However it doesn't contain physical signature or seal of bank manager.

Any idea if this will work?

Thanks

In the Document Checklist, CIO asked for credit card statement AND bank statement. That is they expect reflection of some purchase transaction in Canada in the credit card statement and payment of those purchase through bank statement.

Hi All,

In my app, i have included BC for me and my wife, but it doesn't have our name's, though our DOB and parent's names are correctly mentioned.

PLS CONFIRM IF MY APP WILL BE REJECTED.

Thanks
