Hi guys ... I need some info regarding the LOR.
I have applied in 2132 - Mechanical engineer, In the Roles and Responsibilities section, My roles and responsibilities are very brief and only 2~3 ( Out of total 5) matches with the Occupational Skills given on the www.hrsdc.gc.ca site. I saw some posts which says that a minimum of 60-70% responsibilities should be matched, but the mechanical engineering is a very vast field and we cant match 60-70% in this, untill and unless we make up some of the responsibilities. So can this be the criteria for rejection of my app.

Thanks, i am aware that i don't have to get my Master's degree evaluated, since the education was in Canada.

My question was more of a logical nature, would i be required to get the Bachelor's degree assessed, even though i would be claiming points for the Master's degree?

Only your highest degree needs to be assessed if it were not from Canada. So, I don't see why you would need to assess your bachelor's degree since you already have a Canadian master's degree. You will get points for master's degree regardless.

So finally CIC declared new opening from 1st May -2014.

I have created this thread for helping each other --could be anything-form filling up,POF queries,mental support etc .

Since this year 50 category will be open having a max cap of 1000, so this will bring more opportunity to be a successful applicant for an period.

Do I need to hire a lawyer to apply for the federal skilled worker or I can self apply? If I self apply, how do I start the process in terms of the documents I need to make sure I don't miss anything. Any helpful materials , resources and insight shared on this program will be appreciated. My occupation is information analyst and my husband is an accountant.

So, my understanding is that if the main applicant is the payer, then address is not required. Now, my question is, which address do they consider? The mailing address or the residential address?

What if my address in the application is not the same as my address in the bank?

Another question, the signature on that form doesn't need to be identical to my Bank signature right?

You do not need to hire a lawyer if you are willing to put some time reading CIC's website and figuring stuff out yourself. You can start by checking to see if you qualify to apply. here's the link for that:

It will have all the information about the forms and documents you will need, and a guideline for how to complete them.

If you haven't already, then the principal applicant will need to get the highest degree assessed for ECA and needs to take IELTS for English test.

The address that you should have put in the payment form is the billing address for the card. But, the address isn't very important so your payment will likely not be denied because of that.

Also, CIC will process payment using the security code of the card you provided, so the signature difference will also likely not be of concern.

So just relax!

I am trying, but it is hard to do with 2 of the applications rejected were due to CC problems

I was asking since the only other place where addresses are given is the IMM 0008 in which mailing address was provided and residential address as well. So, I was wondering which do they check against if they do so?

Writing: 7.0
Speaking: 7.0
Overall: 7.5

I think it gives me full 24 points.. pls correct me if i am wrong..

With this, i reach to 72 points w/o spouse IELTS..

I got my education of 16 years ie; High School 10 years, Intermediate 2 years ,Degree 3 years and Master's from UK 1 year and my WES report says my Bachelor's equivalent to canadian Bachelors 3 years and Master's Equivalent to Canadian Master's . So how much points i can claim....

Hello everyone. I have filed two applications under different NOC. Can any one suggest when to withdraw one application so that I get refund. Can I let, IF accepted, both applications reach visa office and withdraw one after I get medical request?
