Do the banks give loans for Mobile i mean cell phones .. never heard it before ..over all they ask for liquid funds which you can use anytime they ask for liabilities to gauge you financila health .

I have a question,
for proof of funds in form there three fields, Assets, Liabilities and Net assets. I haven't mentioned anything in Assets and liabilities. I have just mentioned figure in Net Assets. I have submitted my Balance sheet with the application, which shows my personal liabilities like personal loan, loan for mobile etc...

But I can justify and explain the source of the net assets i have mentioned in the form.

Good point and i agree but playing devils advocate......... those who are aware of the process for last few years might not feel the need to seeks help from the forum.

Btw, don't forget the tendency of newbies suddenly popping up when CC is charged or they want to know when it will be charged, mainly because even the early applicants applied through consultants and later joined forum to connect & remain updated abt CIC progress. This increased forums representation to existing levels of "18 to 23%".

In my opinion, for forecasting anything using correlation between status of existing applicants on forum and CIC updates, inflate forum numbers by 15-20% for applications sent after 1 June, to adjust for late joiners.

May be some of the friends would like to know the below, since I hear a lot of folks getting all worked up about NOCs getting filled up already.

My guess is that the spread sheet data might roughly account for about 18% to 23% of the global figures. But there is also a line of thought in my mind that the decreasing level indicators (for later applicants) on our spread sheet might be slightly misleading when correlated with global numbers, as most people applying in FSWP so late might not be as aware of the forum (hence they are not present here) in comparison to the ones that applied early (read, May, June etc.). The early applicants have been aware of the CIC process for a few years and they have a high probability of knowing about the forum. Just my thoughts there!!!

Hi all,

I have a query regarding the fund.

I have shown 2 Fixed Deposit Certificates:

1) Fixed Deposit of 2,00,000 on my name at HDFC
2) Fixed Deposit of 5,65,000 in my Mother's Name at SBI where I am the nominee. In this case I have also included an affidavit from my mother
stating that I am free to use this fund for the purpose of Canadian immigration.

I just came through a post which says the settlement fund should be 100% in the principal applicants name. Can somebody tell me if my application is at risk?

Sorry but nominee means the person who'll get the money in case the accountholder expires.Your nomination does not entitle you to any money immediately.
Funds need to be in your and/or your spouse's name only.
