No Century.
Rejection letter that I received from CIC clearly says 3 requiremtns for BC:
1. Should have your DOB
2. Should show your parents name
3. Should show your full name

My application was rejected as my SSC marksheet didnt had my parents names on it(unline my spouses SSC marksheet had it).
I did send in a explanation letter too saying that I am attaching copy of my passport and my brothers passport copy stating our parents name, but it was nt acceptable by CIC.
They said I will need to provide an affidavit if I dnt hv my BC with me(which i have done with my new application)

Hope I will still be in CAP :( :(

948 seats are available; at the current rate, you are sure to be in the cap. Relax.

Hi All,

Any Idea why there is no movement post 7th May?
Because there was a large volume of applications on 7 May. With 147 being reported in our spreadsheet.. imagine the total can be 4-5x that number.

----- Adding/Updating Details in Spreadsheet -----

Hello All...

I would like to congratulate all the members getting their CC/DD Charges and receiving PERs

I just want to encourage everyone to add their details to the spreadsheet. It greatly helps the rest of us who are waiting and praying !! It also helps the admins to generate awesome stats which are way better than anything you can get from CIC.

First time entry ? Lost the link to edit or don't know how to edit ?? Go ahead and add your details again

Just follow the simple steps below:

1) -- Open the URL for the Entry form -- https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1Wl4oS7u4P1oek09X6ZUO6hHK-9jE3TNIAwgHSWMowAA/viewform
2) -- Fill out your information --
Use exact forum username (refill if you do not know how to edit, the old entry is taken care of by a magical script the admins wrote)
3) -- Hit Submit - and voila .. your information is in the spreadsheet
4) -- Important Make sure to bookmark/save the Edit Your Response Link -- you get on this page. Later when you want to update, you simply come to this link and edit it and the information is updated in the sheet.

Join us in viewing the spreadsheet at the URL https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11gAbKSoDoOr1s8_raB1qwz0i-ZH0NyNWhhn18O6kHwQ/

Hi all,

Can somebody please clear my doubt here? Does the number of application accepted by CIC (the list shown on their website) refer to the number of applications they have screened and charged or is it the number of applications for which they have sent the PER?

These are applications that CIC deems complete and that will be counted towards the cap. There is no indication of whether these applicants have received PER or not.

How does one get ecas if applying for the first time?

@ Max_ash

Did you send two applications for two different NOC categories? And has one returned? Are you guessing the same error in the second one? And was the principal applicant same in both applications?

If the answer is yes to all the above, I take it you are already working to send another application by correcting the error? Sorry too may questions!! :)

Sorry to hear of the rejected application, good luck brother!!

No, he sent another application after rejection of the first. He choose 2173 later on as 2174 may be capped out.

If i am unable to provide police clearance certificate then will i have to provide written explanation or not???

I believe it only comes with the PER e-mail / returned applications (for first timers). Experts please feel free to correct me, Cheers! :)

Yes, you are correct. however, if someone earlier applied other visas like sutdent, tourist, supervisa, etc, s/he must have UCI also.

No Buddy.
I had sent one application under my NOC(2174) on MAy2 and it was returned due to Birth certificate issue.
Thereafter had sent another application with an affidavit in lieu of BC…. Waiting to hear back updates on my 2nd application(which sent around mid June)

Yes, heard that. Somehow it wasn't on my Canada visa from back in the days. Some other folks don't seem to have it on theirs too. Not sure what's the exact reason, but that's okay!! Thanks!!! :)

And thanks for sharing Max_ash's case. I am certain he will be within the cap, that should not be a worry at all especially with second application reaching on Jun 2nd. Tell him not to be worried!!! :)

Thanks Oscar7!!
