Hi folks - I am yet to start my process. I am aware cic start accepting the applications by May 1. Somehow i missed it.

I am a Cisco networking professional with CCIE and 9+ years experience. I think would come under NOC 2281. (can you please let me know if any other noc with be a suitable match)

Now I need help from you guys.
1. I would be ready with all documents and ielts score only by end of august . Is 1st week sept would be a right time to apply ?
2. How could I know about the cap for NOC2281 ?

What will be the worry to send the package...?

I guess u will have the chance to be on the CAP safely for NOC 2281.


Although CIC declare the CAP but this one is a bit older update ....

But we have our own spreadsheet which reflects a more practical update...U can assume an avg of 18-20% of the global applicant into this thread....

I have an overall experience of 6 years. Of which 4 years are much related to my NOC(2281) and the rest of the 2 years are into BPO.

I wanna get the experience letters with roles and responsibilites only for the jobs related to my NOC. I have the relieving letter for the rest of the jobs.

Kindly suggest if this is acceptable.

If u cant manage the Job ref letter then just provide other docs like appointment letter/Payslip....those will be also ok since u are not gonna expect the points for those jobs....

Yes you will make it in the cap.. 2171 is expected to be filled only by end of September (worst case early Sep)... All the best

No its first come first serve basis. Thats why canada is opening up a new system in 2015. It will based on points and higher u have more suitable u are to picked up..

Hi , What does it mean "based on points and higher u have more suitable u are pickup up" , I have exactly 67 points and send the app on 21st june and it reached on but not sure who signed it ,

I have already been worrying about my point system, but want some clarification from an expert in th form to conclude if I have right points ...

Age 35 : 12 points
Ielts : 19 points ( L=7,R=6.5,W=6,S=7) overall 6.5 band
BCA EDU : 21 points
Exp:8+yrs : 15 points
Total Points: 67 Points (assuming true to my knowledge) and applied .

Kindly suggest if I have done it right , and also let me know how we can find out who signed the documents once received.

So these 2 months.. What to write..

Hi,

I happened to be new to this forum.

I also made a mistake of not writing my name in the blank space provided in the consent and declaration section of generic application form. I believe since it is signed and dated so it should not be a major issue. My package is in transit and it will reach on monday. I can't reroute it as UPS doesn't allow it until unless it is rejected by the initial intended recipient. Can I send an addendum to CIC containing a cover letter explaining the situation and a new generic form with my name mentioned in the space.

Please advice.

Hi, do a stop shipment and ask UPS to do a return to sender, ( I guess u need to pay for the return), once you receive your package, make the necessary changes and submit the package asap...its better to be safe...then be in doubts...what we believe and what CIC does...cannot match always dear...

In education part gap is obvious. But there shouldn't be any gap in Personal history.

I have a problem, I sent with my application, a copy of my ECA report instead of the original, because I missunderstood the information on the Documents checklist. Is it a problem if I send my ECA report original now, a week later (my application arrived to the office on june 24) appart from my application? Do I need to send an explanation of this problem? What exactly should I do?

Hi...you could have done a stop shipment...get the package back...and re send it with correct documentation....we can only hope and pray for them to accept the original doc for your app....I guess u included a detailed cover letter with tracking details/delivery date and name of signed person for them to identify incase...

2011 08 to 2012 05 studying
2010 09 to 2011 05 studying
2007 05 to 2010 06 studying

So this gap from 2010 06 to 2010 08

I had a gap of 3 months after my graduation and first job. I wrote "Job search and Preparation for job interviews". Idea is to write something and not leave any gap. You may write At home, Vacation, Preparation for travel to Canada etc. Good luck!
