Hello,

I am planning to apply under one of the programs of skilled worker for lecturer. I do not have the full time experience. Also the school teach is not going to issue the certificate. Do I have any other option acceptable to CIC to submit my application? Please advise!

Thanks,

I don't think CIC would be expecting us to send the duties exactly as mentioned in the website...moreover I think the exact matching would cause suspicion at CIC....only key words like design, development, research, project management etc. in related field needs to be highlighted in the duties letter....what do u say guys...?

I am sure matching the exact keywords is bound to generate suspicion...and they probably have a software to match the noc responsibilities with every applicants reference letter....looking fr keywords is not right way to proceed
Obviously ppl writing our reference letters wd have no idea about wts printed in CIC..hence in this way hardly 10% responsibilities wd match

Hi,

2 quick questions:

1. Is it mandatory to get my bank certificates issued in CAN dollar? Or my local currency will suffice?
Also, bank certificates or bank statements?

2. I am submitting my SSC certificate for birth proof, do I need to get am afidavit made?

Many thanks

IMO local currency is fine..just keep some buffer in case of fluctuation in dollar value...

Giving an affidavite is good..although i have read that some one got PEr just by sticking a note saying "BIRTH CERTIFICATE" on the 10th certificate.

Bank certificate surely

I agree and I am okay with the detailed checking as long as it is not straight refusal, just because one's HR is a pain in the rear. There are many documents that can show credibility, and CIC case officer might also need to step in to the shoes of the applicant, at times.

Let's say for example, I am a Manager at Citibank, and I have a Citibank offer letter on company letter head (from the time of my joining the company) that shows that. Now this letter has the office physical address, phone number, fax number, my designation, my salary, my residence address that matches with the address I provided in CIC's form et al all on a company letter head! Plus if I have provided salary slip for a few months that again shows that I work for Citibank as a Manager and my salary is also being credited to my bank account that is shown for proof of funds. The salary slip also has my name, my designation, my employee ID, my office location, the period for which the salary is besides the bank account details stated above. PAN and PF numbers are also listed on the salary slips. Next if I have also provided tax document for 2 years that were issued by Citibank it should further alleviate any fears on account of genuineness of my case. The only thing missing despite all the above evidence is the roles and responsibility part which has to match with the NOC's requirement. Now if my manager writes and signs for that on plain white paper (including all other things asked in the reference letter) also providing his business card, I am hoping CIC should be in a good position to add all things together. Finally, a cover letter to inform CIC that the company did not issue such a letter on its letter head and that being the justification for this letter by my direct supervisor should be enough for them to comprehend the situation. After all, it is a well known fact that many company's won't give such letters on their letter head. I recall, until 2010, CIC used to state on their website that if one can't get letter on company letter head the above procedure needs to be followed (i.e. attach business card of the person signing the reference letter).

The above is my take, though I agree it is easier for CIC when the company letter head has everything in one place. Thanks and best wishes to all! :)

Put your self in CIC 's shoes and see... You are the authority to let a person come into your country and need to to check the experience letter and allot points. what would you do if you see a plain paper with no letter head? who you just believe it or..you will put it aside for a detailed background check? and process more delay

what would you do if you see a company letter head? " this looks good to go, a valid fax number and a website address and a phone number to make the bg checking easier and be done in a jiffy!
