Full time means 40+ hours in USA and Canada, so mentioning full time is perfectly fine

No if you are an permanent employee and working for 5 days a week for 5 hours a days is considered fulltime as well that's why CIC specifically told to mention hours on reference letter. Part-time is something you call working for 2-3 days. I was having same view but I cleared this out with CIC when I was applying for PR under Canadian Experience Class.

No offense but I wouldn't agree with you on this. Mentioning full-time on reference letter is not enough one has to mention working hours on reference letter. I mean working 5 days a week for 4 -5 hours a day is also considered a full-time employment. Mentioning just full-time on reference worked in few cases as proper documentation was provided regarding companies policy of not mentioning working hour on reference letter and supporting document such as pay-stubs, etc

Not sure where you got this information. Full-time in America means 30 hrs/week or more. Anything less than that is part-time. CIC require the same 30 or more hours per week. If you look at the minimum requirements for FSW, They say:

"at least one year of continuous and paid (full-time or an equal amount in part-time) work experience in a single occupation,"

So if the letter says full-time, its accepted. All my reference letters say the same. No where did the total hours were mentioned.

Bro,

I am from Bangladesh. I have same mistakes in my ECA report regarding date of birth? what is the status of ur application? is it approved or rejected? i am also planning to apply with support of affidavit and statutory declaration.

1560 hours (per year) is the stipulation. Full time, or part-time, howsoever it is attained.

at least one year (1560 hours), full-time or an equal amount in part-time,
paid work (volunteer work, unpaid internships, etc. do not count),
in the same occupation, and

at skill type 0, or skill levels A or B of the 2011 edition of the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC)

Sorry for reposting my question, but can someone please share thoughts on below:

I have been reading many posts realted to the new IMM0008 form. Can someone please advice on below:

1. Does any one know what are the differences in the old and the new form IMM0008?
2. What impact does this new form has on applicants who have applied before July2014? Does it makes sense to resend your application with the new form, or anybody applying in July should be using the new form(it should be the second one, not sure)

That's what CIC agent told me.
Yes what you are saying is correct. I agree.

But what I am trying to say is mentioning Full-time on reference letter might work in few cases.
If company has a policy of not mentioning working hours on employee reference letter than to be on safe side you have to provide a explanation letter that it is against company policy, and to support your claim that you worked there full-time which is more than 30 hours/wk also attach all paystubs or any other document which can help your support your claim.

This is all what CIC agent told me. I called them before 3 months when I applied for PR under CEC program.

Same here. They not yet asked for PCC also

But why..... if they dont seem to have any backlog of applications and can issue MR on 6/13, then how come there is no activity for the last 4 days ? Seems odd to me

Re: Email addendum to CIC?

On the second email ID I think you meant cio-sydney-search-enquiry@cic.gc.ca and not cic-sydney-search-enquiry @cic.gc.ca?

[size=10pt]The truth is that you will only get an automated generated response from them. The best bet is what you have done.
I can only think of two address which have been used to communicate to me...see below
Question @ cic.gc.ca (I used this to make request to CIC)
cic-sydney-search-enquiry @ cic.gc.ca (CIC ued this to respond with an auto generated mail to me)
below is their customised response if it makes meaning to you.......wish you luck!
