thnx..im relieved to know dis..which noc do u belong to?
mine is 7th may sent date n 2171 noc bt still no update..realli tensed :(

I am NOC 2174 - May 7th 10.47am - DD applicant. When did you send ur appln last year?
My appln reached Aug 21st 2013 so, it should not have been considered for processing since the cap is filled long before that.

but they would have opened the application to check whether we have any job offer and hence they have used the word 'we have assessed your application'. This is my understanding. What do you think?

Am also very very anxious every day whether my DD is encashed. GOD bless us ! :-)

Hi people, My problem is that I worked only one year on the position listed under FSW occupation list, it was 3years ago. Before that I was only the assistant in different company and I have the reference letter as well from them.
After that one year of work in eligible occupation from FSW list, I was unemployed for one year and then I worked only as permit expediter. Should I take reference letter form my last job as well even though its not the position I apply for visa to Canada?
Please advise

Congratulation rssb and cancalling. :) :) :) :)

yes, you should have reference letters for all jobs your have had for the last 10 years. Even if the job is not qualified under FSW, you can get points for them if they fall under NOC O,A, or B.

Hi guys, i called hsbc and they said that it takes 21 banking days for a DD to clear... this will give me long waiting... but i would like to ask you if I am already counted in the cap if ever they.started the DD encashment even though it is not yet.cleared?

What kind of DD takes 21 days to clear? The point of a DD is it's not like a regular cheque. The money has been withdrawn from your account in advance. If the DD were drawn on a foreign bank I can see it taking extra time, but CIC requires that the DD be drawn on a Canadian bank so it should take no more than 3 days.

I also used HSBC, went to a branch in HK and got a DD drawn on HSBC Canada, I don't know how long it will take to clear but it should be quick.

To answer your question, your cap position is determined by the date your application was received. It doesn't matter how you paid or when your payment clears.

Hi All,

Can you please let me know from whom do we get the email if PER is recieved?
So that I can keep a filter and not miss it

Thanks

Thanks. How do I update the sheet?

Dear seniors,

I am in a problem. My wes account is showing "Waiting for verification from Institution" from 28th May. I contacted with my educational institution for several times but they replied that they did not receive any request from WES.
I also contacted with WES but they replied that the verification request has been sent through e-mail, postal mail or fax
What should I do now? Time is running out

Hello, I am writing for the first time but need inputs on a very imp thing -

Is it okay for someone who is married to file an application for primary applicant only? My husband and son does not want to join me now however at a later stage when my application gets approved and i am able to find a job there.

What do u think will be the officers reaction to this ? Will he be convinced by my above claim?

Seniors; pls help me with the best way to approach this. Thanks

It is ok for your spouse and children not to accompany you at first. However you must include them in your application and fill out all the necessary forms and provide all required documents for them whether they are accompanying you or not. You must also show settlement funds for your whole family even if they are not accompanying you. Finally, you cannot claim any adaptability points for your spouse if he is not accompanying you.

If you think you can get a job and settle down within a year, you can consider listing your family as joining you, then you can land first and they can land later. Just don't miss the deadline for landing everyone in the family.

The alternative, if you mark your family as not accompanying you, will be that you will need to sponsor them to immigrate later. I'm not familiar with that process. You should familiarize yourself with it before making your decision so you know what you will need to do and you can decide which way is best for you.

I'm guessing you'll be checking on that DD pretty soon?
We're in the thick of May 7th now :D
