I READ IN SOME FORUM THAT THOSE BORN BEFORE 1989 CAN BE EXEMPTED FROM BIRTH CERT. SUBMISSION...IS IT TRUE?

This is specific to Indian nationals only. In India birth registration at municipal corp was not mandatory before 1989 so ones born before Jan 26th 1989 may provide an alternative document for birth cert for any govt purposes in India.
This may not apply for CIC documents. CIC has its own guidelines which as alternative allows 10th class/ high school certificate if name, DOB, both parents name is mentioned.. Notarized affidavit from parent(s) mentioning these details is also acceptable..

i am trying to apply the FSW 2014, before asking my questions, i want introduce my self little bit,
i am indian citizen, i finished my bachelors in electrical & elctronics engg(in india) and i finished my masters in electrical& electronics(in usa) now i am working as sr .net developer(program analyst designation title) since 2010 apr, on H1b visa.
my wife also finished bachelors in computers& science in india) and masters in computers( in usa). she's working in usa.

1.can you plzz suggest me which noc code suitable for me. and
2.can you plzz how to get EAC report which organization is cheap and best?
3. how to get police clearance? do i need to get from USA or India, because i came to USA in 2010.
4. i don't have birth certificate, do i need to get new birth certification certificate? or any other proof is mine?

Now am worried . Mine was received in Ontario June 11 and forwarded for delivery same day JUNE 11. Up to today , still no update online. Already contacted DHL yesterday and asking them where package is and they will get back to me within the day they said .

US NRI, its from Indian Embassy, serves same purpose of PCC of India. and its different from PCC of state of residing(NY,NJ)

Contacted DHL Manila and they said their 3rd party in Canada is asking for consignee's contact number ! They didn't ask for this info this when we sent package ! Does anyone know contact number of CIO Nova Scotia ? Did you all indicate their contact number when you sent your application ?

I want you to consider that in the FSWP spreadsheet from las year, failing to submit the Birth Certificate from the husband/wife was a reason for rejection.

Moreover, The DOCUMENT CHECKLIST, item 16 states:


Identity and Civil Status Documents
You must provide the following documents for you and your spouse or common-law partner

• Birth certificates;...


It is also important to stop telling the other member that failing to follow the rules would be ok. Because it probably won't.



I really want everyone to be aware that failing to follow the direction from CIC is a reason to be rejected. Sorry to be very honest but this is our future, we need to take it seriously

The last decision is only in CIC hands, I just wanted to point out that even if you are lucky, and your application gets through, it is better to follow the guidelines by the book, to make sure we don't jeopardize our chance. I think you need to wait and see if you are actually rejected, and try to reapply, after all noc 4011 is not that "Hot". Anyway more advice is welcome from more experienced fellows here.

Hi PPmom,

I think she should use the July 2014 form since she has the time to do so.

In my case, I submitted it this morning only to find out that the form has been changed today! But anyhow, I have high hopes since the caption is 'July 2014'. It means they are giving time to inform the soon-to-be-applicants.

I am no expert, this is just my opinion.

What consignee contact number( CIO Nova Scotia) did you give DHL ? In CIO website can only find the address in Nova Scotia Dorchester street, if sent via courier , BUT no telephone number . Am afraid 3rd party might hold my package since we did not give a contact number for CIO Nova Scotia . That's what DHL Manila is saying ! Pls advise contact telephone number of CIO Nova Scotia .

Hi Mr and Mrs S, this is what I used as consignee number, didn't have a problem. I used DHL and is based in Manila as well, 1-888-242-2100
