Hi guys,

I have a Masters Degree in IT. Am working as an iOS Software Developer (Apple developer).

My question is in which category of occupation list does it fall. Should it be 2174 Computer programmers and interactive media developers or 2173 Software engineers and designers ??? Am confused because the duties mentioned in the categories are similar to what we perform at work.

My guess is 2174 Computer programmers and interactive media developers for myself, as i develop applications for Apple iOS devices.

So is my guess right or it should be 2173 Software engineers and designers ???

Thumb rule : If coding component is more it should be 2174, if design component is more it should be 2173.

This should be sufficient.. Get it notarized and also submit a copy. For people who dont have a xth certificate or birth certificate, they can even just submit a Affidavit...

Is it true? that notarized self affidavit will be accepted? I jst kept the same for my wife n notarized copy her SSLC Certificate with parents name.. but forgot to keep a covering letter...will that work? very much tensed..thinking of filing again..

I have been in canada for around 10 months from Oct 2012 to July 203. Do I need to submit pcc for Canada as well. I remember reading somewhere that you need to submit pcc for all country except Canada.

At which address you sent your application? ?

The address is same given in guideline and I have verified it.

Yes Notarized self affidivadit is accepted. 10th (with atleast one parents name), school out going (with atleast one parents name) or notarized affadavit are accepted. Since your submitted 10th and also notorized affidavit you should be more then fine.

Apart from this any other documents like passport, Driving licence are not accepted as proof for DOB.

Covering letter is not mandatory, dont worry.

That should work because in your self affidavit reason will already be there so no need for covering letter.

No need to submit PCC for cananda... I also lived in canada, but did not submit PCC for cananda.

I have a doubt -
[size=10pt]After the app is transferred to local VO, if the applicant goes on to study in another country, how will the local VO coordinate with him/her? Also in the final stages one needs to submit the passport for PR, but a person already abroad cant do so? What will happen then? Is there an option to change the VO later?[/size]

There is an option to change your visa office by paying an additional fee (approx. 100$ CAD)

These documents are to be provided for each country other than Canada, in which you have lived for six consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18.

Im on a PGWP and working currently in canada..I have 5 years work experience under NOC 1123..My question is as im already in canada and working..do i still need to show proof of funds as when i had a word with the call centre executive of CIC,,they said that i am not required to show proof of funds as im authorized to work in canada and i currently have a job. My wife is also working in Canada on an open work permit...Senior members..please enlighten me on this issue...Do i need to show proof of funds or not?

Hi,

My current and previous employers are not ready to give work reference letters, so I'm planning to prepare an affidavit and get signed my manager. Also I don't have birth certificate, so prepared an affidavit and attaching 10th certificate. My question is do I have to prepare 2 covering letters for both reference and birth certificate. If yes, what is the format. Please share the format including to whom I should address in the letter.
