Oops I did one mistake, I have already submitted by application since myself and spouse are not having birth certificate I have produced Affidavit. Affidavit is framed and stated by myself and my spouse respectively that we didn't have birth certificate as our parents failed to register it. Will it impact my application as I didn't taken Affidavit from our parents?
Seniors plz advice.

Birth Certificate is must unless u have submitted secondary school certificate containing ur name, DOB & parents name.

@nithyaindia

Have you provided your SSC? If your & your wife's SSC includes following info, need not to worry

1. Applicants name
2. Applicants DOB
3. Atleast one of the parents name

Hi Guys,

A small confusion...do we need to write the name of the document checklist equivalent on the copies provided ...for eg. Should we write 'Identity civil status document' on top of the copies of birth certificate, marriage certificate..? so that it is identified properly..?

Don't write anything on the copies; at most, you can insert pages naming the section of the document checklist being covered.

ANYONE IN THE FORUM WHO HAS DONE HIS ENGINEERING FROM PTU, JALANDHAR

Do you guys know, How it will work with 50 categories each with 1000 cap and 25000 total limit?

Dear Century~ you are always such a big help.. Thanks millions..
May be bcz I am new here, don't see the option to give +1!!

I got some more query as i am organizing my papers-

1) When putting barcode pages at the starting of generic form, the sign up page, which is containing 2 barcode is going before the generic form. Is it the way you all do, signup page before the actual generic form?

2) Should I keep all the documents open (unbound) or is it better to use some clips instead of staple those?

3) in schedule 3 form - in some places I couldn't type (like for work experience I couldn't type month, in the asset, liability part, wanted to write nil with liability but can't type). So is it ok if I write these small thing using pen?

4) Now this one is bit silly :/ Which color ink I should use to sign the documents- black or blue?

1. Copy option is for those applicants who are not able to pay through CC/DD.

2. NOC 2011 means this NOC code was designed in year 2011. Writing NOC as 0111 is perfectly OK.

For your peace of mind, following is the communication by CIC to an applicants:

"Alternatives to birth certificate are as follows in CIC's own words

We do accept Secondary school records that contain the following :

Applicant's Name
Date of Birth
Name of Parent/Parents

If you are not able to provide a Birth certificate with all 3 criteria, we require an affidavit stating all of this information or that a Birth certificate cannot be attained."

Hi thanks for replying.
Do you mean it should be fine if i don't the send the affidavit.

That's right. Ideally an affidavit by translator should be included as per instructions, however, it does not break the case if a translation alone is included. My sister in law also only sent a translated copy (not notorized) and that worked fine too. She is a PR holder now.

So Chillax bro.

Moreover, even if you send the doc now, most likely it will not find its way to your application sans the UCI.

It is never heard that self-attested birth certificate is not acceptable; minimum requirement is to have applicant's name, applicant's DoB, and Father's name. Document checklist clearly mentioned that if document required is not submitted, an explanation need to be submitted. So your affidavit will at least served that purpose. If you have supplied 10th class mark-sheet where the three components are present (applicant's name, applicant's DoB, and Father's name), then you can sit relax. Officer at CIO has discretionary power; so they will certainly use it. So just relax and chill.

No my 10th Class certificate didnt contain my parents name, i have provided my PG transfer certificate which contains my parents name also with self framed Affidavit. My concern is whether CIC would accept this :-\

1) When putting barcode pages at the starting of generic form, the sign up page, which is containing 2 barcode is going before the generic form. Is it the way you all do, signup page before the actual generic form? You will have to pages of Bar code, one pg full of bar codes and signup page with 2 barcodes, first put the full barcode page, then signup page, and then remaining generic form. The sequence is for these ease of scanning.

2) Should I keep all the documents open (unbound) or is it better to use some clips instead of staple those? Keep them unbound or use paper clip, but DONOT staple

3) in schedule 3 form - in some places I couldn't type (like for work experience I couldn't type month, in the asset, liability part, wanted to write nil with liability but can't type). So is it ok if I write these small thing using pen? Yes, use BLACK COLOR PEN, you may also use 0.01 using computer [i followed this]

4) Now this one is bit silly :/ Which color ink I should use to sign the documents- black or blue? BLACK
