No, you don't have to.

Couple of Questions:

1. I do not have job offer in Canada, Can I still apply under professor and lecturer (4011) category with my PhD and teaching experience from US.
You don't need a job offer for fsw, you do need at least a year of experience in a job matching the job duties of noc 4011, you Phd serves for getting points, but not as requisite for applying.

2. What documents I need to send to WES

depends on the country where you get the credentials.
http://www.wes.org/ca/fswp/requireddocuments/index.asp

3. Do I need ECA report only for PhD or I have to get ECA reports for my master's and bachelor's degrees too.

Just for the highest degree, since you claim points for one degree, but you can have all of them reviewed form the same fee.

Thanks

Good job ma'am !

As far as your query goes :

DD- goes with the Fee pay Form.. envelope not reqd., use paper clip (& I suppose you have Post it on it as well 8)- (retain a photocopy of DD for your records, if you haven't already )

Photos cum Mailing Label - preferably clip it with first page (back side) of Generic Appln Form .

Rush !!

Hii
Hopefully this will be my last question in terms of preparing the application.
I organized my forms and documents as per the checklist order, checklist on top, then barcode pages, forms and documents.i still have the DD,photos and mailing labels, ive put these in small envelops and will attach it on top of the checklist, thats fine, right?? Or it should be as per their order on the checklist?these are small docs,i prefered to put on top, what do you think experts?

This and im ready to send the package
Please advise
Thanks

Dear all

I am facing a serious problem with my work experience. I am a research student (leading to PhD), performing research in the areas of civil engineering. However, i am employed at the university, working full time (40 hours/week), and receive holidays/other benefits. My duties follow the specification provided by NOC for Civil Engineers. My question is, is my work experinece valid for FSW application? In the FAQ file it is stated that 'Your work experience must have been full-time (or the equivalent in part-time hours), worked continuously and paid, for over at least one year in the same occupation. Often, jobs as teaching, research or lab assistants at post-secondary institutions are part time, only for the academic year, not the full year and would not count toward the work experience requirement for this program.'
However, since I am employed full-time and receiving salary, will my work experience be valid? Please share your ideas/experiences

First of all, are you applying as Civil Engineer or as University Professor?. What I read in your message is confusing since you say you match the noc duties of an engineer, but you describe your experience as a professor. Please clarify.

To make the idea work .. you need to Tip for customary services !! :-*
In the envelope, put a 50/100 * bill-note along with the DD ;D

(* : decide the amount of notes depending on your currency... the above is good enough for gandhijis - in India) ;D

LOL !

Thats an idea :) but i dont think they will listen to that :)
So i guess if the way i organized my package is right, then off it goes.
And the wait and worry will start :)

Good luck to all

I was just looking at the Provincial Nominee program.

Once one gets a provincial nomination certificate, one still has to do all that people are doing here for FSW via CIC.

So, whats the advantage ?

Are provincial nominees not subject to cap ? Or do they NOT have to fall under these 50 occupations ?

Any disadvantages ?

Technically, they don't have to do all that FSW applicants have to do. They only need to fulfill some basic requirements. Cap depends on the province, usually there is one (which is separate from the FSW cap). Since PNP is a separate program, no need to fall under the occupations under FSW. Also, processing of people with provincial nomination is prioritized, so will be faster.

The only disadvantage is, you would have to live in the province for a certain number of years before you can move away.

Hi, all

FYI,

My CC is encashed on 6.11 (Canada Time).

NOC: 2173
Reveived Date: 5.7, 10:19AM

Best wishes for all of us.
