dude, this is old footnote, 2013!

These are the applications received as of 4th of May only, which is 4 days after the opening of the stream, I'm wondering how does it look like now after one month and 7 days.

The footnote says:
"The number of complete federal skilled worker applications received as of May 4, 2013 is an estimate."

Not only is it annoying, they might as well be using those Indian astrologers spamming the forum to make their "calculations." It would be just as accurate.
Behave yourself future_canadian what's making you take a country name in particular.

Do not deviate some individual view to a country view.

Congratulations to everyone getting their CC Charged and DD Encashed!!

Guys I just want to request all to re-enter your data in the spreadsheet if you have lost the link.

[size=12pt]
If the link is not lost or you haven't entered your information yet pleaaase update the sheet !!
It greatly helps in the positivity of the forum memebers like me ...

After submission make sure to bookmark >> Edit your response << link

Also don't let anyone here tell you about CAPs, guesses are no good for anyone and no one but CIC knows. Worst case scenario you will loose courier money but you will be ready for 2015 !!

Read as May 1, 2014 and I think CIC will correct this soon.

Note that, "as of May 1, 2014" will remain same for this whole program. Here "as of" means "from" and not "on/till date". For FSW2013 cap update, during whole duration of the program, it remained as May 1, 2013.

Sorry for this mistake, I have noticed that.. thanks for pointing that out.

Help needed for 0111,

I am also planning to apply under 0111. I am bit confused as my job duty match with 0111 and 1112 partially. I have checked with 0111 JD, and found it match with my JD. Still want to cross check with just to get enough confidence on JD. Please see my responsibility below and confirm if you think if this is okay for 0111. Thanks for your cooperation. One more thing, I am given short description and short job title in Economic form IMM0008 and giving additional page giving full detail of all JDs. Please confirm if you think this is okay as well. Thanks for your cooperation.

Century bhai,

Where we have to show the study gap?
In education section or personal history section?

Hello guys.. confusion in filling the forms!
Please help how I should understand the following..
Provide the details since the age of 18 and or the past 10 years whichever is most recent
I read through the forum but still not clear. I am 33 means I key in details from when I was 23 or 18 years old. I did lot of international travel from 18 so understanding this seems very important for me.
Thank you guys

Hello
I want to ask one thing from you people.....my file will reach CIC office on next wednesday or thursday under 2174....do you people that i stand any chance to get positive reponse?

An observation here:

Using last years statistics, one can say that last year 69 persons were cap reached for NOC 1112 and 115 were cap reached for 2174; For 2014, there are 100 persons in NOC 1112 and 156 for NOC 2174 in our forum. It shows that we have attracted more people either from those who made their WES reports ready recently or those who made it ready last year but were not members of our forum then.

Again assuming that the percentage of last year for the rate of representation of our forum from the total applications received by the CIC, we come to the following results.

NOC 1112: last year our forum represented 19.67 percent of successful applicants. If the same percentage stands for unsuccessful applications, therefore we can estimate that by now CIC has received 509 applications by now (from the unsuccessful applications of last year) assuming that they reapplied this year. So there was still a capacity of almost 500 seats for new applicants.

NOC 2174: last year our forum represented 31% of the successful applicants. If the same percentage stands for the unsuccessful applications, therefore we can estimate that by now CIC has received 504 applications (from the unsuccessful applications of last year) assuming that they reapplied this year. So there was still a capacity of almost 500 seats for new applicants in this category.

The above estimations is for the ones who had already made their documents ready. A new wave started from the new applicants; i.e. it took almost 15 days for new WES applicants to send their degrees for assessment and take it back, so we can assume a new wave of applications reaching CIC from almost May 10th forward (considering April 24th as the date of information for all).

Again an estimation for these applicants: last year it took almost 24 days for the cap of 300 to reach; then WES provided same day processing in the first days and seven-day processing as well but the applicants had more time to start WES procedure as they came to knew about the new system in April 17th/18th.

We cannot infer that 300 seats filled in 24 days (from 4 May to 28 May) so 500 seats fill in bla bla days statistically as the number of applications follows a progressive trend.

But we can tell that last year's cap reached applications are safe and there is still room for almost 500 new applicants.
Last point: There are more seats than almost 500 for both hot NOCs if the new members of our spreadsheet (compared to the last year) are ones who prepared their WES report this year after reopening of FSW 2014.
We can cautiously say that following last year's trend, 800 (500 from last year's cap reached + 300 new) applications are reached by May 24th and still room for 200 more seats to be filled.
The situation would be better if we take into account psychological factors and the ones diverting to other financial categories as well.
So shake your legs and relax.
