Hi
My application reached on May 6.I have submitted a DD. I was reading some comments that people come to know that DD has been en-cashed.

I have submitted DD from HDFC bank. Request to guide me how can I know whether DD has been en-cashed or not.

Thanks
neha.g30

Hi Neha,

Please contact HDFC branch where you have make your DD. They will request Mumbai office and let you know whether DD has been in cashed or not. Process may take 3-4 days.

Please help.

I checked with 2-3 Indian banks. They are giving DD (international or national) with validity of 3 months.
AS per CIC guidelines, it should be of 6 months.

Please suggest.

Kindly note: I donot have Credit Card:(

It should be translated as it is.

If there are differences in naming order between passport and your birth certificate, just give a cover letter describing the differences.

In Passport full name is split 2 names anyway. For instance, 1) Family Name/Surname 2) Given Names(where i have my firstname and middlename/fathername mentioned).

However, in my JAPANESE Birth Certificate it just mentions FULL NAME - against that in Japanese version of the document this order is followed --> SURNAME FIRSTNAME MIDDLENAME

Just getting confused there. Again, any format for a Cover Letter you can share. What should such a letter include and state, Do I have to sign it? No formal affidavit is required for this, right?

When you have your bird in your hand, feed it as much as possible - don't go for any speculation. There is one link for certified translator at Chandigarh (I think you are now at chandigarh ;) )

http://www.indiamart.com/languagetranslationindia/certified-language-translation-translator-in-chandigarh.html

Dear Century
My BC was also in other language I got it translated into english and get it notarized and got it exactly given by the sample in the link given by you in the reply of one of the post i.e http://www.immihelp.com/birth-certificate/birth-certificate-english-translation.html
.But,translator has not given me the affidavit,so do u think CIC will accept my BC without affidavit.

Century dear thanks alot for your help & support.

If you dont mind i would like to ask you the referance letter not on copmany letter head but i have one i got it when i was working there is it ok to print the letter on it or better to submit it as it is.

Thanks
