Hi seniors plz help :( :-[

I am new to this forum. I am from India applying for NOC 2132 Mechanical engineer . I have got my file ready & i have prepared it by myself and just before sending i wanted to cross verify few things.

1. In generic Application form i have not mentioned any national identity document . Is it necessary to mention it. And if yes can i use either my passport or driving license for the same purpose??
Ans. National ID is not mandatory. National ID is not same as Driver's License, so if you dont have a NID then dont include it.
2. Apart from generic form do we have to validate any other form? Ans. Only Generic Form has the option of validating. You have to be double carfeul while filling out other forms since you cant validate them.
3. I am single and applying for myself only no depenedants or spouse so i have attached printouts of the forms not relevant to me and written NOT APPLICABLE on it . so is this fine??
The checklist clearly states that you need to include dependent related forms only if its applicable. Which is not the case for you, so you dont need to include them.
4. My application and relevant documents are lengthy and on CIC website it is mentioned that we have to send it in 9'X12' envelope which i think will not carry the weight of my file properly so can i send it in a bit larger envelope???
Ans. if you are worried about the envelope not being able to handle the weight then you can reinforce your envelope with tape, outer envelope etc. The courier company does put your envelope in their own packing, so you dont have to worry too much about that.
5. I have gathered all the documents mentioned in the checklist and attached demand draft of $550 .Plz let me know is there any other fees to be paid ??
Actually i hired an agent for my case last year but the cap reached 300 and i was not able to file my case . But the agent asked me to make a draft of around 11000 indian rupees along with the demand draft of $550 for some Initial assessment purpose. So plz clarify is there any other fees apart from $550 to be paid at initial stage along with submission.

$550 CAD is the actual amount you need to provide with your application. The money you were asked by the agent was probably his own fees.

I will be highly thankful to you guys for ur advice............

Congrats bro for PER and your first post .. but Still a long road to go , ;D

1.Its not necessary...my advice,LEAVE IT.
2.NO
3.The forms not relevants to you are NOT TO BE INCLUDED IN YOUR APPLICATION.Include only forms that have relevancy of atleast one item.
4.You can use the next bigger inch envelope.
5.All you need is DD of 550CAD....Unless you have signed agreement to pay it,your cash is going down for a gift to the agent.
if there is no such legalized signed agreement....please give it to the motherless babies in your area if the cash is too much for you to keep! ;D

Seniors,

Please help.

I am taking IELTS on 10th July. Filing my papers on 24 July. My NOC is 1123. What are my chances, realistically speaking?

Thanks.

It is very normal for "Normal mails " to be delivered late.

International express would have been a better option for you , since there is a factor of CAP being reached.

Minimum threshold to get 5:
Listening:4.5
Reading: 3.5
Writing:4.0
Speaking:4.0

Your spouse's speaking is excellent. Only need to improve listening skill slightly.

Thanks a lot for the inputs. Can i pay additional amount to send the duplicate report through International express. in that case, how long it will take to reach ?
