Experts plz guide me on this : applying for purchasing manager noc is 0113.
I have experience of working in wholesale distribution company.

When i opened hrsdc for noc 0113 it mentions below classified elsewhere which involves retail and wholesale buyers noc 6222, which is not there is occupation list.

Now my question is , whether i am eligible to apply for noc 0113 as purchasing manager or not as classified elsewhere noc fits 100% on my experience.

Confused , need advice
This classified elsewhere thing is out of my mind!!

Dude that's another NOC suggestions. You don't have worry about it as everyone who open there appropriate NOC's page will have that thing at bottom of page. In other words "Classified elsewhere" mean "Suggestions"

Hi
What shall i write in intended occupation my NOC is 2174 ? my designation is application programmer.

But his worries are justified. His roles and responsibilities 100% matching with classified elsewhere NOC's. ???

Anyone from FSW 2014 applicants whose Application packet has been received by CIC. Also let me know if someone has filed under NOC Category 1123.
Lets network and help each other.

Sachin

I am filing under 1123. It's really touch and go, it's supposed to be a hot NOC. In 2011, in a very similar NOC, they reached the 500 cap in less than 18 days. So let's see how long it takes for 1000 this year. Wish you luck!

I know what you mean. But matching experience or job title with NOC wont help him. He has to match his Duties with NOC. If it fits under NOC 0113 then I think he should go with NOC 0113 instead of NOC suitable with his job title.

As long as your job responsibilities match around 80% of NOC 1123, you can apply safely.

The job titles have been compiled according to Canadian system and it might not get match with the corresponding roles and reponsibilities of other part of the world. So don't bog down with the job title rather concentrate how your roles and responsibilities match with eligible NOC's rolesand responsibilities.
Hmm ! Century !

:) :). It's ok.

Just for your information and other members who might have confusion why educational requirement is not required and why some members confidently saying it is not required and what is the source.

The source is the ministral instruction called OP 6-C – Federal Skilled Worker Class – Applications received on or after May 4, 2013(http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op06c-eng.pdf).

Page 12 of the instruction guide:
Note: The “Employment Requirements” listed in the NOC description for each occupation are not
applicable.

So hope that going forward, we all can confidently communicate this message.

Thanks a Ton Century, this document is great help clears a lot of queries.
+1
