All forum members,

As per post from @ Ravi12, his review letter is dated 19th May 2014. On 20th, I had psoted that someone from CIC helpdesk that they will start charging from that day.

Many on the forum were critical of that information especially @ gs123.

My humble request to all, trust your fellow colleagues and dont use unparliamentary language.

Hello all, :)

Is anyone able to answer one or even all of questions? I would appreciate it a lot!

Hello all,
I have a few questions and I hope that the senior guys in here can give me a hand. Smiley

1. When I apply, I am required to state where I intend to live in Canada and I have to apply under a certain NOC. Once I make it to Canada, am I allowed to live in another city or work in another profession than stated in my original application? Just want to understand whether I have such obligations.

2. Besides my jobs that I feel that are eligible for my application, I was also employed full-time in a so called sandwich university program, which means that I had alternative 3-month terms of work and studies with a fixed employer that I was employed with over the full period of my studies. Am I still required to list this and do I need to provide a reference letter?

3. I intend to immigrate to Canada without dependents, what is the sum of funds that I have to proof? I have read $10000 and $11,824. Which one is true?

Thanks and good luck to all of you!

1. Under FSW, you are not restricted in any way to the city you wrote in the form, the only restriction is that you cannot settle in Quebec, since they run their own skilled worker program. You are also free to work in any job, as long as you have the proper permit if required.

2. Yes, you should list all your work experience, and you should get a reference letter from that employer as well. For periods where you were not working, even if it was because you were studying, you should list in the form as "unemployed". Remember, the instructions clearly state that you should leave no gap in your work history.

3. You may read here, a single applicant should have CAD$ 11,824 in liquid and unincumbered assets (so cars and houses are out, as well as loans). You only don't have to show this if you have an arranged job offer in Canada and are currently authorized to work in Canada (as a temporary worker, for example).

@awilner:

Very, very much appreciated! Thanks!

When should we start working on Police Clearance? I am want these certificate to be ready on time, but I am afraid of the processing time, since the PCC are only for 3 months. I don't want to work on them right now then expire before they requested. I have to provide 4 PCC from Jordan, UAE , Oman and USA. I have applied under NOC 1112 and my application reached on May 7, 2014. Any advise

Jamal
PCC is valid for one year and no longer 3 months. So you can start processing it now. You can check that from form "IMM 5612"
