Thanks Future Canadian for your answers,

That's so helpful, so is the continuous employment should be with one employer , for example i worked 6 months full time and then moved to self employment with out any gap in between under the same NOC . so by dates i have 1 year 3 months in same NOC with out gaps is this valid and considered as continuous. Thanks will be waiting for your replies .
Yes, but also remember, your one continuous year in your primary NOC can be any time within the past 10 years. Even if it was several years ago and you are in a different NOC now.

1. Is it a GUARANTEE that once your CC is charged or Bank Draft has cleared, you become: +ve Eligibility review candidate and then your file moves forward to step 2 for scrutiny ?

2. If payment not deducted means, application is NOT Complete and RETURNED?

3. If Candidate REJECTED after scrutiny in step 2, is this 1100$ fee refunded or LOST?

Thanks..>!
1. As far as I know, yes, if your CC is charged, CIC considered your application complete and under the cap, so you move on to step 2.

2. Not necessarily, your application may not have been processed yet. You're only going to be sure if and when you receive a NER, and it will contain the reasons why you were rejected. Until then, keep your hopes up.

3. I recall reading somewhere that the fee is refunded only if the application is incomplete or the cap has been reached. If the application passes the first step, then the fee is not returned.

If your application is found complete & if you meet minimum threshold then you CC will be charged or DD will be cashed. If application found incomplete then they will not charge CC nor cash DD. They will simply return whole package.

2. If payment not deducted means, application is NOT Complete and RETURNED?
Not necessarily.

3. If Candidate REJECTED after scrutiny in step 2, is this 1100$ fee refunded or LOST?
2nd step is PER. If you application screwed after 2nd stage. Its non refundable.

Thanks..>!

I understand the VO may require you to submit the medical exams. What if I do a medical in advance through the approved doctor on CIC panel. Would that be ok? or should I wait to get the instructions from the VO?

Congrats for cc charged.. do medical only after CIC sends you email with instructions. If you it before that, it wont be valid for your case and you will have to redo it. Good luck!

So, how badly is one screwed if the translated birth certificate doesn't include affidavit from the translator? ;D My docs are with my friend in Canada, waiting for WES report to complete the file (in a day or two). But I had only sent notarized English translation of my birth certificate (plus a photocopy of original), but no affidavit. Although my 10th & 12th grade certificate does have birth date on it. So, any suggestions? 8)

I tink it's best that you wait. I remember reading somewhere that the deadline for visa expiry is one year from the date of the medical exam, so it would be in your best interest to wait until the VO tells you to submit your medical. The best you can do is be prepared: estimate the time your VO takes to process applications, check with the intended doctor if they need you to book in advance, check with your medical insurance plan if they cover any of the expenses, etc. If you have to book an appointment, I think you may book it and keep postponing until the VO contacts you.

I doubt if VO staff (rather, "ND"VO staff) understand how photocopies are attested/ notarized in Ind ... if they do. then they (incl. yourself) will have to change your opinion that notarisation adds to the credibility of the document/ photo copies .

Here's the reality :

-- in almost all cases, Notary rarely sees your Original document before putting his sign/ seal (he's just bothered with his bucks, literally selling his authority/sign/seal) (I don't even bother to carry the Originals to the shop... just my packet of photocopies which needs attestation)

-- this is rather shocking, I wont reveal their modus operandi (just a Hint) Notarization can be done even at photocopy shop end-to-end (I haven't seen the Notary myself)

CIO will not bother about notarization. So it is not necessary for them.

Now here comes the VO. In the Indian subcontinent, people has a opinion that if something has been notarized, it is true else there could be something wrong. Note that, in a VO, initial investigation and checking is done by local staffs and not by Canadian. So, if they culturally believe that notarization added credibility, do notarization to avoid delay of further investigation.

So, in short, if the VO is situated in a country where mass people believe that notarization add credibility, then do notarization, else ignore it. It is not required for CIO. And this is my thought - it may not be accurate.

Thanks for answers, i am working through an indian consultant and how should i get the CIC number so that i can check my app status online? How many days do CIO take to release the CIC number to an applicant or to his representative consulting agency?

You only get your file number to check progress online when you receive a PER. This is after they check for completeness and charge your CC/cash your DD. People who had their applications received on May 1st are just starting to get their CC charged, and no one has received a PER yet, so sit tight and relax.

Hi, I noticed that you used DD for payment. May I ask you how you did this in Brazil? I could not find any bank that has this type of transaction. I used CC because I had no option.
