Asalam U Alaikum Ahmad

Please could your further guide us as to what steps you took to ensure CIC had no problems in charging your Credit Card? Like what instructions you provided to your bank?

Nothing special. I travel a lot and I use my Master Card in all countries and never faced any issue. I have no pin code. One issue I had is that the verification code is 3 digits while the form couldn't take spaces, so I wrote it by hand and left the 1st field empty.

I do have a password protection for Internet transactions and my bank told me this can't be removed, but it doesn't affect transactions from trusted traders/agents or PoS transactions

My application was received on May 1st and NOC is 2173 -SE SOFTWARE

Actually my application was also received at the same time and same signature. I guess if my draft is not charged in 2 days then my application is either rejected or returned.

Firstly, Congratulations on being the first applicant to be charged!

Could you please advise on the following?

1. Number of dependants you included with your application? (Since you were charged 1550 - I am assuming You+Spouse+3 kids)
Yes
2. Proof of funds - Did you show your physical assets (real estate) and any liabilities?
Local Bank statement + Etrade account statement for stocks I have in the US. Each of them is above required fund

Appreciate your early response!

Cheers

Thanks Ahmad...so you did not have any real estate assets as Proof of fund? Correct?

BTW, have you visited Canada before (work or education or casual visit)?

Calm down Sammy, drafts take so long to be cashed so you wont be able to check it like a credit card. I am sure you will receive CIC email and your application will get through

I'd like to mention 2 things:

1- I work for a big US company and it is listed in Nasdaq, I think verifying my reference letter was very easy for them

2- my fund verification is an account statement from "Etrade", and they can easily verify it.

Actually, I didn't have the time to translate my national ID as per instructions, I am still waiting for PER to know whether this was accepted.

I think no need for you to worry, give them more days. Although I am not expert in CIC, others can advice.

Wish you all the best.

Congratulations to your friend...it seems like May 1st applications are being processed. You must also make it through and should hear back in a while as yours is a DD

When entering your occupation's main duties, do we just choose from our employment reference? Or should we include all those that are listedbon our reference? Thanks

Given the situation
I am a student who is living and studying a 1 year post graduate diploma certificate program in Canada on a study permit, I will be able to get a post graduation work permit after the completion of my course.

After looking at the new eligible occupations added to the list, I find my experience in one of my past job which is more than 1 year in the last 10 years matches one of the eligible occupation, So, can I receive 10 points under the arranged employment section, based on the fact that CIC issued me a Post Graduation Work Permit on completion of my 1 year program and also that at the time i apply for FSW, my employer has given me a letter stating that they have confirmed me as a full-time (non-seasonal) employee in the company.

Hi guys,

I have a questions about proof of funds:

if I have $12345.67 in bank statement, do I write exact amount on the form? what if I spend some of them recently. Can I write less amount like $12000 on the form? does the number on the form have to match the number on statement?

Thanks!
