pls advise on below queries:

1) I am the Principal applicant, do I need to submit the copies of my spouse's marksheets / degree and work experience documents?

2) There are few questions related to address, work experience, personal history where dates need to mentioned as "From" "To". Please advise if the "To" field can be left blank in the current period or we have write current month May 14. For example : 1) From Dec 2012 to "May 2014" , or 2) Dec 2012 to ....(Blank) or (3) From Dec 2012 to " Till Date" . in this case "Till date" has to be written by Pen, post taking out the print. Which is the correct way ??

You will need the official transcripts for both degrees to be sent to WES from College/University sealed envelop.

And just to be safer side you can also mail them your trancripts and degree copy for reference.

- I have done my B.E (Electronics) from Mumbai University in 2005 and have worked for 2.5yrs as a Software Engineer. I completed my MBA(Major - Finance, Minor -IT) from NMIMS in 2010. Since 2010, I have been working as a Business Analyst (4yrs experience as a BA)

My Questions
1. I carried out Provisional equivalency test on WES website and it gave me below result:

Credential 1
Name of Degree: Bachelor of Engineering (University of Mumbai) - India
Equivalency in Canada: Bachelor's degree (4 years)

Credential 2
Name of Degree: Master of Business Administration (Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies) - India
Equivalency in Canada: Master of Business Administration

Given that my highest educational qualification MBA is certified by WES, do I need to get attested copies for my Engineering as well from Mumbai University as well or only transcripts for my highest degree (MBA) are enough.

2. Do we need only marksheets and Degree certificate attested from University or we need to ask for transcripts from University. Asking since, the WES website only mentions marksheets and Degree Certificates, however, all people out here seem to be discussing about transcripts so confused

No. Only documents that are not in English or French has to be translated and certified. For more details Read the top portion of Document Checklist & Guide 7000 for FSW.

never use fake experience letter and i saw mostly people banned to enter due to use fake doc in their application.
cic person always call or fax for confirmation and i heard that even they verify bank statement as well.

You are trying to get a fresh start, why not start with just manner. I would suggest you to get a letter from your former co worker/manager, even if he changed job (should be on his current letterhead), listing your job duties. That will do the trick just fine. It is more authentic and CIC can verify it and you will be at ease.

No need to panic yaar.. there isn't so much at stake

Regarding attestation of photocopies it is Not mentioned in CIC/ Guidelines. But it is a norm generally followed by Applicants to be on safe side.. rather it adds to the confidence of the VO assessing your file. And believe me its not waste of money and the way it is done here it hardly costs anything ( @ fiv rs p pg ), so why leave it open ended.

For work exp/ Ref letter.. just work your Total pass points backward . For eg. getting 67+ points how much minimum yrs you need from Work exp (2-3yr ->11, 4-5yr ->13, 6+ -> 15) so make sure you have detailed Ref letter aggregating those many years of work exp from given options which will fetch you Pass points 67+ points

Say, you got Ref letter from 3 cos.. put together if it spans 6+ yrs of Work exp you will get the max 15 points, beyond which it is waste of effort bothering ppl for Ref Letters from all 5 cos./ 8 yrs etc.. no incremental value derived of it

So, for remaining 2 cos..if you don't require points then just provide copies of existing Relieving letter, Appt letter etc.. no need for Affidavit, Expln letter, et al

I have no intention of wasting money but my fear is that it shud not happen dat all the rest of the applicants send their photocopies attested and I was d only one not doin so. This shud not make the cic officer feel why her application is different. I know it's a stupid thing to worry abt but please can some senior confirm who send thr docs without attesting and the application got accepted. Plssss...

Also I hav work in 5 companies...3 if them gave me reference letter. 2 didn't. ..so shud I provide an affidavit for dat or a simple cover letter?

For pcc just make sure you have sufficient id to make 100 point required doc may b your passport, dl, visa stamp,student id, bank atm etc just go to afp site and pay your money then download the form fill sign and send scan copy to there email id with all id,s and payment form. Please check on cic that what sort of check you required as i know its number 33 for immigration. Please make sure...

I thought I would never be able to get the answer.
Actually I have sent an email to the department of transport and main roads, however it will take them 15 working days to response my request. After they reply, then I start my application. I guess it would be another 15 work days again. (What an efficiency)
I had one inquiry, hoping you could be able to answer.
The learner permit was long expired(more than a decade) and gone(I think I lost it). And the documents they require for Identification are mostly Australian issued which I am unable to provide.
How do I apply without those documents?

Question to all the forum members.

Does anyone know if a person can apply in more than 1 NOC? I mean you apply in say NOC1234 and then you release that's not your correct NOC.... so you apply in another NOC(sayNOC9876) while your earlier application is still pending with CIC.

Does anyone know what happens in that case????

We just applied in a NOC and now release that's not my correct NOC..... so while my earlier application(applied on on 5/1/14) is with CIC, can I send another application to CIC with different NOC??
Will it these 2 applications make CIC suspicious about my case and reject bot of my applications??

My passport is about to expire in feb 2015 and i am planning to send my application in august because i have to collect docs for my wife like passport, marraige certf. , pcc etc.
So is it ok to use same passport or should i renue it for myself ???

Faking a letter is defrauding CIC and is grounds for rejection and exclusion from Canada for 2 years or more. DO NOT DO THIS. Especially if Rahim Virani is your real name, because you've just posted about it publicly.

The local VO MIGHT call your HOD and verify it. The chances are increased because, due to your user name, I surmise that you are from South Asia (India/Pakistan & nearby countries), which is ground zero for immigration fraud to Canada. No offense to Indians.

Future Canadian I appreciate your correct an frank response.

if employer is not providing on letterhead then
1) just type the reference letter related to your NOC on a white A4 size paper and get it acknowledged by your supervisor
2) take a copy of photo I'd (company tag photo id) of your supervisor of your company...get it signed by him on it and do attestation
3) Get a service letter from your employee stating you have worked from so and so time with your designation
4) provide an affidavit supporting why you are not able to provide the reference letter in company letter head and attach the service letter provided along with this

Seniors, I need advice !!!

My application is already with CIC and i noticed that while filling out Personal history in Background declaration form,
I missed to fill details for one month.
I filled details like
2006 06 2007 08 Studying
2004 05 2006 04 Studying

so i missed to account for month "2006 05"

will it cause any problem?
CIC website says Important information. Failure to account for all time periods will result in a delay in the processing of your application.
Delay is OK, but i am concerned about rejection, any experience?
