All I can do now is sit and wait... But below is a list of the errors I now I made in my application.

  • My Job title in one of the letter says things like "Java/J2EE and PHP Development Specialist and Infrastructure Manager", however, in the forms that ask for job experience and personal history I put that as "Project Leader and Infrastructure Manager". Annoying long titles.
  • Another company had me in the contract as a "PHP Developer", in another letter as a "Senior PHP Developer" and I put myself in the form as "Senior Developer". I even had another document that said "Software Engineer"!, I did not send that one.
  • I a document of form had more than one page, then I stapled them together. I know the instructions said "leave loose", but I interpreted that as do not staple the WHOLE application together. Anyway.
  • I found a mistake in one of the attached A4 papers which had my wife's family members that did not fit in the form. I corrected it with a pen before sending it, it was just a S instead of a Z.

Sadly I can say that I checked those documents a thousand times, but you just find errors every time you do. What do you guys think of the above? Anything to worry about?

I think most of the applicant make at least one error which goes undetected. If the error is not material, it will not cause any problem.

I don't think your file will be rejected but consistency of information is always desirable. Relax and good luck.

Hi Seniors,

PLEASE HELP ON BELOW QUERY:

All the "month & year" of my work durations from my previous company matches that on the forms what i have mentioned, with the original appointment dates. Just that i have submiited the resume as well & in the resume i mentioned in my first company (from April '08 to July '08) while on forms & my letters and everywhere its (April '08 to Aug '08). Just the resume and that to my first company for which i am not claiming any points.

Do you think they care about the resume that much? I think more important is my "current company's" experience letter, its dates on forms, on experience letter, on my company appointment letters details should match the forms.

Do you think it would impact my application? m worried now PLZ help.

Why include a resume at all, since it is not required?

Anyway, you're right that the experience for which you are claiming points is most important. But there should not be inconsistencies in the documents you provide. Any inconsistencies MIGHT raise a flag and cause a delay or rejection. Nobody will know for sure. My guess is you are ok, but that's just a guess.

It does make sense but just that If resume does not matter, or even if it does, they won't care to match date details with my resume (at least the date), as they would do it from company letters. They would only look for documents which r company issued and notarized or in original. Right? resume is just for reference to my current job duties that tie out to experience letter & additional skills that I have acquired over the years.

When will the visa officer asks for the 6 month bank statement? Is it after you receive the PER?

I think they can ask anytime before medical request.

Hello Everyone,

I am working in USA on work visa. Can I get my PCC from India or do I have to request Indian Consulate for the PCC? I am not comfortable sending my passport to Indian consulate as they are not replying back to any queries. Please share your experience with Indian Consulate at San Fransisco or any other consulate.

Thanks, lol you made my heart beat skip my friend. I think so as well, s it's not notarised so it's not authenticated. They will not even look for that. They have proper documents to match with forms thanks

for getting PCC from India, candidate should be present in india as they first inquire and issue pcc. if i am not wrong you can obtain pcc from usa by showing your work visa not with indian consulate in usa.

Sorry for the such weird question.
I had my birth certificate translated by the certified translator in my country. Do it needs to be notarized? It has something written like affidavit in it signed my the translator, but not notarized by some one.
In my country, we do never hear about notary...
