Can you 100% confirm its not required from Indians? What are your basing your argument on? Know of people who got through without it last year?

You may submit adhar card if you have. It won't harm if you submit neither it would make any difference if you don't submit. BTW adhar card is unique ID for Indian citizens .

Dear Ashif_eee

I have seen frequent reference of following [Italicised and underlined] phrase ...."in CIC's own words....." by many ppl and forums/websites but have been unable to find it on CIC website. While i understand that such school certificate is acceptable, but will appreciate if you can share the link (CIC website or any other official website of Canadian Gov), which says so.

"Alternatives to birth certificate are as follows in CIC's own words

We do accept Secondary school records that contain the following :

Applicant's Name
Date of Birth
Name of Parent/Parents

Dear Bro,

1.

"Alternatives to birth certificate are as follows in CIC's own words

Date of Birth
Name of Parent/Parents

If you are not able to provide a Birth certificate with all 3 criteria, we require an affidavit stating all of this information or that a Birth certificate cannot be attained.

So 10th standard school certificate or an affidavit containing applicants name, date of birth and Parent/Parents name should be fine in lieu of a birth certificate. Also you must give reason in a cover letter why you were not able to provide birth certificate and that you are providing 10th standard school certificate / affidavit in lieu of birth certificate."

2. U have to take the transaltion..

CIC tells:

"If a certificate is not in English or French, submit both the certificate and the original copy of a translation prepared by an accredited translator.

Translation of documents

Any document that is not in English or French must be accompanied by:

the English or French translation; and
an affidavit from the person who completed the translation; and
a certified copy of the original document."

3. In my guess they will not make it as a major one....In My Brother's case...It was a bit similar for my MOM...

Although u may attach a cover letter.

Good luck...:)

Filling up the Schedule 3 - Economic Classes - FSW Form

I want to claim 11 pts. only for
2.5+ year of experience as Business Analyst from my current Job as its relevant to NOC-2171 Have all the paperwork in place for it - Work Ex letter, Pay Slips and Corresponding Bank Statements to double verify salaries credits.

Other mix of past work experience of 4 years and 3 months come from doing different things like...
1) 3 months --> Food & Beverage Supervisor**
2) 6 months --> Bar Staff*
3) 2 yrs --> Catering Assistant*
4) 13 months --> Business Developer with an Online Pedagogical Service providing company*
5) 5 months --> Customer Care Executive*

* --> I have reference letter only from the employer, no other docs like pay stubs, letter of offer..
** --> I have offer letter only from the employer, no other docs like pay stubs, letter of offer..

I believe they are all irrelevant occupations and none exist in NOC O, A, B....list. Will I still have to...
1) Include them in Schedule 3 Form?
2) If yes, then can I only submit these */** docs that I have although they are not in required format of letters? Not that I am looking to claim points for them anyway. Just happy with 11 pts from working as BA in my current job.

Please advise...

Hi Experts / Ashif / Century

I have a query related to background form:

1) My father's place of birth is "Lahore" 1946 now in Pakistan but earlier in India. His passport also mentions Lahore, but not the country...So on the form , I am mentioning POB - Lahore , Country - Pakistan ( Undivided India)....pls advise if this is good to go.

2) During my earlier 3 jobs - I have been out of India on 3 occasions for official trips in 2 different countries ( 2007, 2010 & 2011-12). Each trip was over 2 months. Apart from these, there were few more personal / leisure trips to other nations.
Please advise how should answer Q 12 - Addresses of last 10 years of the Background Form

Not sure, If it is ok to mention only my Residential addresses of India during 3 earlier jobs and Overseas address are not required.
However, I will mention the overseas information in Travel form, but it doesn't ask for overseas address.

Please advise.....just an FYI...Out of 3 official overseas visits 2 were on Work Permit...1 was on Business Visa

100% confirmed bro..:D

U can ask to more Indian Applicants on here..:)

Indian Govt does not issue NID...its just ADHAR CARD which is not the required one...

And, do you know anything about Nepali citizens too ?
We have a citizenship card here in our country. It does have an issue date but no expiry date.
Shall we include information on this card as National Identity Document ?

Dear All,

Congrats to all who have received good news from CIC.

I have received the application packet back on Aug 31, thought of sharing with you all.

My application was returned due to incomplete as per the CIC.

Following is the reason they have mentioned

We do not accept Passports as proof of Birth, therefore we are unable to accept details from passport. We do accept Secondary school records that contain the following :

Applicant's Name
Date of Birth
Name of Parent/Parents

If you are not able to provide a Birth certificate with all 3 criteria, we require an affidavit stating all of this information or that a Birth certificate cannot be attained.

However, the fact is that I do have submitted Birth Certificate(both Husband & wife) along with application which was issued by High Commission of India here in Mauritius.

As I was having this certificate with me before filing application, I do not think of providing additional SSC leaving certificate as certificate issued by High commission is genuine and valid one.

I am not able to understand their reason of rejection, as they are saying Passport is not accepted as proof of birth which shows they might have not looked into our Birth certificates giving all the above 3 details which they are asking.

Experts throw some light on the said issue.

And the good thing is that Mauritius2013 visits in this thread...U can see him just three page earlier (page 759)....

Now i guess u can get an overview...

Good luck...:)

Refering to a nepali applicant...

And if applicable--for the validity, u can keep it blank for the expiry date....:)

In Schedule A: Background/ Declaration, what to mention in my mother's family name at birth? Do I use her family name as per secondary school certificate as her family name changed after marriage (as per passport)?

1. * Docs u mentioned should be ok...
2. ** Docs u mentioned should be ok...
3. Include them in Sch-3 form (u can describe duties in short form)

i have seen several successful applicants with this docs for which they did not claimed point...

So cheers... 8) 8)
