Hi Seniors,
I applied in 2013 as a single applicant under NOC 2147 and i had 67 point but my fill returned due to Cap filled.
Now this year this NOC code is not there but my job responsibilities match with 2281 - computer network technicians, so i will apply for it.
some of my queries are:
I recently got married on 2nd May,
1)so should i need to apply as single applicant or for both.
2) if i mentioned married and wants to apply for my self only , so do i need to submit my wife's passport, marriage certificate, spouse IELTS, etc ? Because my wife do not have any one these.
3) My file is ready as it was returned from last year, but what should i have do.. is it required to fill all documents of my wife (passport, marriage cert.) because it will consume lots of time and months.
It is your decision whether you want to apply for your spouse to accompany you or not. But if you want your spouse to be able to join you in Canada under this application, you need to include her as a dependant applicant. Also, whether you choose to include your spouse as a dependant applicant or not, you still MUST fill in information about her on several of the forms, and provide a number of documents. Here is a direct quote from CIC's guide to filling out the application:
You must list all family members in your application for permanent residence, whether they are accompanying you to Canada or not. You must also provide details on family members whose location is unknown (including those missing or presumed dead). If you don’t, you will not be able to sponsor family members at a later date if they are not listed on your application.
Additionally, please review the document checklist. A number of documents such as the Background Declaration (item 2 in the checklist) must be completed by everyone in your family, whether they are accompanying you or not. Other sections asking for copies of documents, such as sections 8, 16, 17, 18 and 19, also apply to your spouse whether she is accompanying you or not.
Therefore, your application you submitted prior to your marriage will be rejected as incomplete if you submit it again as is. (Or, if you fail to inform CIC that you are married, it will be a misrepresentation which is even worse than a rejected application.)
Bite the bullet and apply properly. You'll be happier with your wife with you in Canada anyway.
