Does Asset include property?
Should we show home loan in liabilities?
Is liability considered negative for immigration purposes?
Will they deduct liability from transferable funds and then calculate actual amount we have?

Some people on here have said that property and home loans don't count. Certainly they wouldn't count for settlement funds but my lawyer advised me they do count for assets. It would be strange if they didn't because they are trying to get a look at your overall financial situation and for most people a home and home loan are their biggest asset and liability respectively.

But you can include the market value of your home as an asset which hopefully would more than offset the liability of the loan on it.

Question about photographs:

The Guide says that the photos should mention the date the photo was taken on the back side. So, does this mean we can manually write the date or should the photographer stamp the date with their company/business seal on the backside?

My friend who applied said that it is mandatory to get it stamped.

Written is fine. If CIC wanted it stamped they would have said so in the guide/instructions.

Actually, assets means PROVABLE LIQUID ASSETS

As you mentioned that you have only bank balance certificate, and no OTHER PROVABLE LIQUID asset, therefore JUST ENTER THE CAD $ EQUIVALENT of that amount. Also, attach bank certificate copy.

If u have other liquid assets, such as mutual fund investment, Bank balance etc etc [excluding PROPERTY, CAR etc] add that amount as well.

Note that there is NO extra point for more than required amount i.e. Settlement Funds = Assets - Liabilities.

So dont waste your time in proving your networth. Just prove that you have sufficient settlement funds (lil extra to adjust for exchange rate fluctuation) as required by # of your family members in the application.

If an individual has a year or more of work experience in more than one eligible occupation, he or she may apply to the FSW program under each occupation. Generally speaking, applicants may apply as many times as they like, under the same program or multiple programs. However, they must pay a separate application fee for each application.

Don't worry about the designation. My offer letter and promotion letter shows a word missing then what i received as a reference from HR. I have attached her business card to the reference letter and its good to go..

The importance is beneath the fact - Your job duties.. The kick start for their reading if how well in CONTEXT the lead statement in your NOC matches with what you have mentioned.
Lead statement is mentioned just above the job duties below the NOC code on their NOC webpage.

So i would be good to go right? all that matters is whats written on my Job Duties Experience letter from my Sr. Manager on Company letter head and how it matches with 1112 NOC? right?

Its mentioned "to list all tripds made outside the country of origin or of residence in the last ten years. If you or your family member did not travel outside of your country during this period, check "did not travel"

I have only travelled back and forth the country of origin and residence.

What should I answer here?

Ok so this is the WES story till date, Application received on 8th(Thursday), Status changed to review on 12th(Monday), status changed to Evaluation in progress on 14th(Thursday), Received email that it should be done by 23rd(Friday). That is more than 10 business days(12 to be precise). Has anyone received evaluation confirmation before the date specified in the email. Is the date an upto date or the date when they will upload the next status. If these guys don't dispatch on Friday another 2 days will get wasted. Means I should get this only on or after Thursday 29th. Grrrrrrr

Also, am i assuming correct that the docs are in place and I will definitely get a positive response.??

Mine was scheduled to complete on 14th May but completed on 12th May and report was dispatched on 13th May. Still waiting for my report to be delivered by UPS.

But BE CAREFUL because the required size of the head is different in this document than in the application guide! There are two DIFFERENT standards. For the application, your chin to crown height must be 25 to 30 mm!
