Hi everyone
I am a newbie. found this useful forum while I am doing the research on FSW.

1. I am the accompanying spouse in this application. (My husband as the principal applicant)
I noticed in form imm569 and imm5406 that you have to fill in parents' details.
My mother divorced my father before I was born. He got remarried afterwards.
We seldom contact even interact. It would be difficult to retrieve his details. I would be able to get his name but not other information.
Do I fill in his name, leaving the rest column as N/A and get a spare sheet to explain the whole situation?

2. My husband has 8 years working experiences in two company. There was a 4 years in his previous company, and it was merged by its mother company. It's no longer exist. He has a resignation proof on hand with details like the work period, title. But he might not be able to get a duty description. Do we simply mention this in a spare sheet? Would it be affect his point?

Please kindly advice.

Thank you in advance.

I think you are already doing the right thing on 1.
On 2, you can attach a notarized affidavit from old supervisor/manager/colleague mentioning job duration, duties etc, attach an explanation letter(with details as you mentioned here for justification) and also attach tax documents, salary slips.

You can also refer to last year forum for such information. I am not able to post links here. Just search "Let's Network here 2013" on google or just search this forum for exact link. Good luck!

Does it matter if photocopies of documents are in colour or black and white? E.g. some in colour, some in black and white without being notarized.

Also, has anyone sent in copies of documents that are not notarized but got through nonetheless?

Hi Guys

I need to ask about the translation of document.

My document is translated to English and stamped by the sworn translator stamp.
If I certified the document by a solicitor, is that enough ??
What they mean by affidavit

Thanks in advance for any help.

Frnds,

Please do not send application with ups courier. Eventhough its a US courier net work is very bad. I send my application on 29/4/14 from india. No proper tracking and its getting delayed in all the way to nova scotia. Tracking details will post here soon. Dhl and blue dart is better

Hi again

I have another question. On Schedule 3, question 11, it asks for:
a) Assets
b) Liabilities
c) Settlement funds

Then after c) it has asks to "provide evidence". Is this evidence of the assets and liabilities noted in a) and b) or just the Settlement funds in part c)?

Thanks in advance.

Please read the following extract to know your answer:

Translation of documents
Any document that is not in English or French must be accompanied by:
•the English or French translation; and
•an affidavit from the person who completed the translation; and
•a certified copy of the original document.

Note: An affidavit is a document on which the translator has sworn, in the presence of a commissioner authorized to administer oaths in the country in which the translator is living, that the contents of their translation are a true translation and representation of the contents of the original document. Translators who are certified members in good standing of one of the provincial or territorial organizations of translators and interpreters of Canada do not need to supply an affidavit.

Certified true copies
To have a photocopy of a document certified, an authorized person must compare the original document to the photocopy and must print the following on the photocopy:
•“I certify that this is a true copy of the original document”,
•the name of the original document,
•the date of the certification,
•his or her name,
•his or her official position or title, and
•his or her signature.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Who can certify copies?
Persons authorized to certify copies include the following:

In Canada:
•a commissioner of oaths
•a notary public
•a justice of the peace

Outside Canada:
•a judge
•a magistrate
•a notary public
•an officer of a court of justice
•a commissioner authorized to administer oaths in the country in which the person is living

Family members may not certify copies of your documents.

Sorry to read tht u missed it. They send by regular mail. And will return after they start opening the applications which I believe will happen after mid of next month(per last year). Last year, my application reached them in july first week and I received it back in mid Oct coz of cap. I wish they r lenient for u on tht form and it gets processed. Try seeing 2013 forum to know timeline for ppl who submitted in initial days and missed sign etc. Good luck.

Sorry to hear about that. Last year, I submitted my application on the 2nd week of May. Unfortunately, it was returned because the schedule 3 form that I used was obsolete. I received my package the following year, January to be exact.
But I read from one of the posts on this forum that he/she received an email from cic asking for her Schedule A using the latest form. I hope it would be the same thing on you, that they will just require you with the signed form.

My wife has done higher secondary in Management and then after joined 3 years of vocational training in Nursing (PCL nursing) and finally 2 years of Bachelors in Nursing, which means the total education is 17 years. Please guide me how would that be judged by WES in it's ECA?? With what level will it be equivalent in Canada??? Experts plz help??

Thanks for your assistance, Century.

Guys,

I live in UAE, and I have put in abudhabi as my visa office, and I have just realized that it should be london visa office for economic class? I have already sent my application on 2nd of May. Should this be a problem?

thanks

It wasn't an issue in FSWP 2013, and let's hope its not going to be an issue this time too.

what do u guys think.... on the schedule 3 form, where one needs to check if the spouse is proficient in english/french..... should i:
- check YES, since that is the case, but he hasn't taken IELTS test results, therefore he does not have a test results to submit, (just leave it as is)
- check NO, since he hasn't taken IELTS test results, therefore he does not have a test results to submit,
- check YES, since that is the case, and write on a separate paper that he hasn't taken the test, therefore we won't be submitting results?
thoughts?

You will have to put NO, because you can't produce IELTS / French tests for her. It's the only you have to do.
