it_engg you are correct. Please go by the official statements written on the CIC website, in general. Kindly refrain from listening to ideas that contradict one another and that have got no official grounds. (If I listened to people claiming all sorts of ideas to be true, such as, "there won't be any FSW for 2014 since Express Entry is coming up in 2015....", I would be sitting right now and pulling may hair. Luckily, I used my own senses and was able to submit the application on Apr 29, 2014.)

Saying again, yes, you are correct. In fact, you can claim points even for jobs that do NOT fall in the 50 eligible categories as long as those jobs correspond to 2011-NOC's with skill level O,A and B. But this will be of no use if you do NOT have at least 1 year experience (in the last 10 years) of a job corresponding to a 2011-NOC in the list of 50-categories.

Thanks buddy thats really a relief.I unerstand its so important to validate thought from people and at same time do a thorough analysis urself to reach any decision.

I am going to apply for the FSW occupation "Information systems analysts and consultants (2171)" but I do not have a bachelor's degree in Computer science. I have a bachelor's degree in Commerce... So can I apply for this occupation?

Regarding Fee Payment Form – Application for Permanent Residence (IMM 5620

Section A

What do I fill in Payer and Address. Will it be name of issuing bank/agency, e.g. Standard Chartered, Thomas Cook?
Or do I fill my name and address?

If you are the one who funded the DD, you can leave it blank or put N/A in Name and Address... Blank is OK and N/A would mean you read through the fields and understood what you are doing (officers like N/A or NA)

HI

I applied as in 1112 Financial Analyst last year 2013 but Cap was reached but this year categories are added i.e Financial manager as 0111 so I should I go with the same or as 1112 or what?? But I am better fit into Financial Manager and last time my owner sort of favored me writing Financial Analyst as job title since only 20% of the jobs were related to that category and remaining 80 % as financial manager.

Is there going to be problem if I apply as 0111 this year rather 1112 since they have that in their record and I am changing it or it is fine?? Please explain ASAP thanks

There is no problem if the 1112 applicant claims he is also eligible for 0111. Because one of the major role for 0111 is related to 1112. But for your case, it become complicated as you did not provide your actual title last year rather you said categorically Financial Analyst. My advice is to stick to 1112 or in later stage CIC may raise objection.

As long as you have experience, you are eligible to apply. CIC evaluate experience and education separately.

Hello Friends

I had applied for FSW Immigration last year 2013 under NOC 1112. However, due to invalid Birth Certificate my application was returned. I have UCI number on the return application.

Now, I would like to apply for this year under new rules for FSW immigration.

a) Is it ok , if I change my last years primary NOC from 1112 to 1114 in the application form as well as get my experience letter modified accordingly from my employer.

I mean , will it be accepted or rejected by immigration officer

b) I have my sister who is permanent resident holder of Canada. To show Blood relative, I need to provide proof like BC.
However, neither her BC not her 10th Leaving certificate shows name of our parents.

In such case, can we provide her Indian Passport as proof ? In her PP , our parents name are mentioned or do I need to provide affidavit that our parents are same.

Experts please help.

Regards

Regarding Generic Application Form for Canada [IMM 0008]

EDUCATION / OCCUPATION DETAIL

For principal applicant,
Current Occupation = current designation?
Intended Occupation = designation of NOC applying for? Should it be same as designation in the Schedule 3 form? Or okay to copy one of the sample titles as per the NOC list?

For SPOUSE (she is currently not working)
Current Occupation = "Housewife" or "NONE (Housewife)"
Intended Occupation = Any sample title from NOC list which she is qualified for?

Hi, I just wonder how your birth certificate became invalid last year?

Regarding your sister in Canada, I think you have to give strong proof showing that you have common parents. Usually, birth certificates have signatures of both parents, so it is a very good one

Some details on our National ID card are in Bangla like mothers/fathers name, address, date of issue.

In this case should we give a translated copy?

Please advise.

a) NOC 1112 and NOC 1114 is not related. It is risky if you claim different experiences at the same period of time at different applications. Suggest sticking to 1112.

b) You can get the affidavit of birth certificate for both you and your sister and show the relationship - this is the alternative that I can think of.

"Alternatives to birth certificate are as follows in CIC's own words

We do accept Secondary school records that contain the following :

Applicant's Name
Date of Birth
Name of Parent/Parents

If you are not able to provide a Birth certificate with all 3 criteria, we require an affidavit stating all of this information or that a Birth certificate cannot be attained.

So 10th standard school certificate or an affidavit containing applicants name, date of birth and Parent/Parents name should be fine in lieu of a birth certificate. Also you must give reason in a cover letter why you were not able to provide birth certificate and that you are providing 10th standard school certificate / affidavit in lieu of birth certificate."
