Champions i need your help, my current job is not in the eligible NOCs, however i worked as a financial analyst for 3 years from Year 2003 till Year 2006 and then i worked as a finacial controler in the same company from Year 2006 till Year 2007, so i think to apply under NOC 1112.
I have the experience certificate that i got from my exwork when i resigned 7 years ago which shows clearly that i worked in the finance department for these periods as Financial Analyst and then as financial Controller but it doesn't include the job describtion of each of them.
Is this acceptable ? frankly speaking it is very difficult to revert to my exwork after all these years asking for a certificate with the job positions.
Please advise what shall i do ?

Yes brother u can apply...

But for ur prev employers...Existing ref letter will not suffice...

Please check:

""Reference letters in the required format are necessary, please try your best to get them. If after all efforts you are unable to obtain a work reference letter, then you should provide a solemn declaration / affidavit explaining in detail why are you unable to do so. The officers at the VO are aware of the fact that different employers have different policies towards issuing such adhoc letters and may not cooperate in issuing such a letter. Please do attach all your employment records with the declaration. I was unable to obtain a work reference letter from one of my employers and did the same. However please bear in mind that the final decision rests with the visa officer handling your case."

Let me know if u require any sample a solemn declaration / affidavit ...:)

Hi,
My application was returned last year due to missing form of job responsibilities.
Do I need to mention the same in "schedule A" form which states that "have you been refused refugee status, an immigrant or permanent resident visa........" In question 6d ?
Should I tick yes or no ??
Please help.

Actually people here are divided on this issue. To me, when a file is return due to missing documents or cap, it cannot be constitute as refusal - it is the fact that CIC is unable to process further.

Refusal is something serious. If VO identifies one misrepresent something, has serious diseases, threat to public, promote terrorism, documents that were submitted is not convincing/enough and after processing they decided or something serious, and deny to give permission to enter Canada, it can be termed as refusal. In short, if VO denies, it can be termed as refusal.

Above are my opinion. Last year I was rejected due to cap - this year I didn't mention i was refused.

Hi,
Can I write my job duties in schedule 3 form by hand as by typing, I am not able to write all of my job duties ?

Thanks.

You can apply but I'm afraid your 2174 experience of 4.2 years will be discarded. CIC clearly mentioned in selection criteria that you should be working since past one year under the NOC you are going to apply for. That means you can claim only 1.8 years of 2172 but not 4.2 years of 2174, as 2172 is before 2174. I hope you get it

I could not get this one.CIC says you should have 1 year releveant experience in last 10 years.but u can get point for other years as well if they fall in skill level O,A and B.

so if my first 1.8 years is in 2172 and next 4.2 year in 2174 and i apply for 2172 should'nt i get points for whole expereince and still apply for 2172??

you can include yourself in below:

[/quote]. I filled up the entry form..could u pls add me in the spread sheet...thanku

2174 computer programmers and interactive media developers

I don't think programming language matters. Job duties and role/designation what makes the difference. You should check the duties described for both these NOCs and decide which NOC matches with your experience letter/offer letter etc. Good luck.

it_engg you are correct. Please go by the official statements written on the CIC website, in general. Kindly refrain from listening to ideas that contradict one another and that have got no official grounds. (If I listened to people claiming all sorts of ideas to be true, such as, "there won't be any FSW for 2014 since Express Entry is coming up in 2015....", I would be sitting right now and pulling may hair. Luckily, I used my own senses and was able to submit the application on Apr 29, 2014.)

Saying again, yes, you are correct. In fact, you can claim points even for jobs that do NOT fall in the 50 eligible categories as long as those jobs correspond to 2011-NOC's with skill level O,A and B. But this will be of no use if you do NOT have at least 1 year experience (in the last 10 years) of a job corresponding to a 2011-NOC in the list of 50-categories.
