U are absolutely ok brother...:)

That's a relief. thanks!

But please clarify the following, I'm not so sure how to proceed :-)

1. Shall I show my current occupation which I'm not claiming points on Schedule3 or not?
2. If I'm going to show the current occupation, back to the previous question - I will then submit a company letter without the job duties?

Sorry for asking a lot of questions. Thank you so much for your help

Friends,
Please share info who is having some exp on this... I've been posting this several times...

The letter has to be on company letter head, any other is not going to work. Pls remember in new FSWP three things are very important, no deviation possible in these.

1. IELTS
2 WES
3. Work experience letters.

Hi Guys,

This is the my first post. This is for the applicants from USA. I think the visa office has been changed to CPC-O from CPP-O. Please check the below lin k:

w .cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/apply-where.asp

I'm assuming in the Generic application form we should mention CPC-O.

Ashif Bhai what if the Masters Degree is from a recognized British University? WES report says my masters is equivalent to Canadian masters . In this case , Bachelors also needs to be assessed? or I can leave it out ?please advise .Thank you so much for your help always brother.

Brother i requesting u to take more comments to thread's other members....Since i am also a bit confused abt this....

But the logic is that since ur having a equivalent masters degree, then definitely u have BSC with ur country's degree...

In this sense u may not require...:)

Who is a Family member?

Family members : An applicant's closest relatives, in the context of an application to CIC. It is defined as a spouse or common-law partner, dependent children, and their dependent children.

Who is a Dependant?

Dependant: A spouse, common-law partner or dependent child of a principal applicant.

===============================================================================

Pls note that mother, father, brother, sister, grandfather, grandmother, father-in-law, mother-in-law are not family members/dependant as per CIC guidelines therefore should not be included as "Dependants" in Generic form / Additional Dependant Form. Also don't send photographs for them.

Hi All

Concern to Photocopy of a Doc do I require to notary all those photocopies ?

Please advice.

Alternatives to birth certificate are as follows in CIC's own words

We do accept Secondary school records that contain the following :

Applicant's Name
Date of Birth
Name of Parent/Parents

If you are not able to provide a Birth certificate with all 3 criteria, we require an affidavit stating all of this information or that a Birth certificate cannot be attained.

So 10th standard school certificate or an affidavit containing applicants name, date of birth and Parent/Parents name should be fine in lieu of a birth certificate. Also you must give reason in a cover letter why you were not able to provide birth certificate and that you are providing 10th standard school certificate / affidavit in lieu of birth certificate.

Information on obtaining Indian PCC from Passport Seva Kendra

The following quote from Adrenalineforu may help to obtain Indian PCC

PCCs are provided by PSKs (under Ministry of External Affairs) not Police stations. I was of your thinking before actually going through the process which is why I asked 2 questions to an authorized person in PSK, ND. Read Q/A in the last.

I can tell you of the story in Delhi PSK; not sure if same applies to Mumbai and Gujarat.
An additional commissioner sits in the PSK who stamps and provides the PCC after doing some techno-geeky on a computer. Basically, from what I understand, he accesses the central repository of the police records and upon finding no adverse information provides the applicant with two stamped PCCs. The fee was also nominal; around INR 500 per applicant.

When I was about to leave the PSK, the window person on the exit stopped me and asked me for feedback on the service quality and provided me a feedback form. Of course, the experience was awesome and process quick. This is where I asked the fellow 2 questions, to which he replied very diligently.

Q1) Why was I given two PCCs?
A1) It is a standard procedure. We understand you need to submit one for visa purpose, so the other one you can keep for yourself.

Q2) I thought I would have to go to Police station for PCC after this stage, but I didn't?
A2) If there is any adverse information found against a personnel or some clarification required, the addl. commissioner will transfer your request to the Police station in your area. Then the person will need to visit the police station to get the things sorted out first. Upon sorting out, SHO will issue a letter of No Objection and after that you'll get the PCC from PSK. This process will take long time.

Q3) Anything else here?
A3) Nothing. You are done here.

Same thing must have happened with my wife but I don't know (neither did I bother to ask) because she applied 2 weeks after me and she got it in 2 hrs. Faster than mine. (ladies do have some advantages, after all!)

Following is the extract from my PCC;
"It is certified that there is no adverse information against Mr.XXX S/o Mr XXX, holder of Indian Passport No xxxxx, issued at xxxx, on dd/mm/yyyy which would render him or her ineligible for grant of travel facilities including visa for CANADA."

Follow this.
http://passportindia.gov.in/AppOnlineProject/locatePSK/locatePFC

a) Locate your respective PSKs. (Ahmedabad, Mumbai, etc)
b) Register for an account.
c) Login and apply for PCC. Do not forget to go through the 'Document Advisory'.
d) No need of appointment for PCC.
e) Go stand in the Queue before the PSK opens or u'll be delayed for the day.

Hope this helps.

Hi Friends, May be I'm repeating the questions already asked in this forum. Please redirect me to the topic if that is answered already. My question is :
I'm planning to get the reference letter from one of my colleague from previous company since the company is not helping me to get a reference letter with duties and responsibilities as CIC is expecting. So I'm planning for both of the letters mentioned below.

1. Do i have to get the reference letter from a colleague done in a stamp paper (In that case what is amount of stamp paper in India) notarized ? or It has to be in a plain paper describing duties and responsibilities, hours, salary etc. with their contact details and business card

2. Also do I have to submit a affidavit or statuary declaration in a stamp paper stating the above reference letter is true (In that case what is amount of stamp paper in India) notarized?

or
In the absence of colleague
1. Do i have to submit an affidavit done in a stamp paper (Stamp paper amount in India?) with all the main duties and responsibilities, hours, salary etc. notarized ?

Dear bro,

Here u go:

YESSSSSS u will have to affidavit and notarized ----1. Do i have to submit an affidavit done in a stamp paper (Stamp paper amount in India?) with all the main duties and responsibilities, hours, salary etc. notarized ?

Please check :

below is the sample noterization for Letter of reference (collected...)

Sample noterization
Date:

SOLEMN AFFIRMATION

I the undersigned, (principal applicant), residing at ___________________________________, hereby solemnly affirm that from (date) until (date) I was employed by (company name) as (job title).

I worked (number) hours per week and was paid (salary) (weekly, monthly, yearly).

My main duties consisted of (main duties).

Main Duty 1
Main Duty 2
Main Duty 3
Main Duty 4
and so on and so forth.

I am unable to obtain a letter with the job description from my employer because the HR department doesn't provide any such letter with the job duties mentioned on it. The only thing they provide with is an experience letter with the designation and the tenure of the employment mentioned on it, that too at the time of relieving. I have that letter and I shall enclose the notarized copy of the same.

BR//Subrun.

No need, please go through the checklist (IMM5612E) and check the requirements for each documents. It only requires originals and copies. IMM5612E also notes that Original or certified copies maybe requested later by an officer at a later date.

Mailing labels - can I send both in English because English is an official language in my country.

Should it be equal to A4 size or say half of it? Any suggestions?

========================================

SUGGESTION TO ALL : From a different page of CIC, I have found the following regarding the form IMM 0008.

"For best results:
print on white, bond-quality, non-glossy paper and
use a laser printer.

Yes if country in which you are residing's official language is English then send both in English. Print it on A4 size paper. Cut it business card shaped; put it in envelope an attach it with your application

Hi,

I am trying to help a friend to apply these days. Apart from updated forms, are there any changes in requirements between FSW2013 and FSW2014?
