Hello friends
I am a bit confused about the ECA for doctors as I plan to apply for Specialst Category NOC 3111. I understand that my Primary Medical Degree (MBBS) will be given ECA through Medical Council of Canada but what about my Specialty Diploma? MCC website states that they are designated by Govt of Canada to give ECA for Primary Medical Qualification. However the CIC website states that all applicants under Family Physician and Specialist Physician must apply for ECA of their qualifications with the MCC. Am really confused what to do. I have mailed both MCC and CIC but so far there is no response from them. This is delaying my application. Any advice or knowledge in this regard would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Did you check here: mcc dot ca/repository/medical-credentials/
Note: i am not allowed to post web links.

I don't understand medicals but found Medical degree or Diploma there.

Anyone please reply for below queries(I am reposting them):-

1) Do we need to send the original documents(certified translations and notary affidavit) in case of translations to English?
2) In case of permanent employees, do numbers of hours is still required in reference letters?

1. Please check CIC statement:

"Translation of documents

Any document that is not in English or French must be accompanied by:

the English or French translation; and
an affidavit from the person who completed the translation; and
a certified copy of the original document."

2. Yes..in that case u can mention full time permanent employee...

It all depend at the discretion of the officer assessing your file. He may overlook it as a minor mistake.

Really?
That's what I've been told as well, several different FedEx offices confirmed they will be able to ship my application overnight, from Chicago. And then at the last moment, when I brought my application to them on the 1st of May, they said they can't ship overnight specifically to this part of Canada (49 Dorchester st. in Sydney) and the earliest estimated delivery date is 6th of May.

I'm still kind of angry at them as they couldn't keep their promise and they've set me up.
Though it seems like for some people it takes just 2 days to deliver the application. I don't understand, what's the reason behind this and where's the logic.

Actually CIC office- Nova Scotia route has a bad MAP for shipping....

I had similar. The guy is KallKwik was surprised himself as he said FedEx is usually overnight from London to US and Canada but I shipped today and it will arrive Wednesday.

please let me know, whether thay will reject my application based on selecting ahmedabad as vac?

I am getting nervous :'(

sometimes delivery companies allow you change destination of your package. If it haven't reached Canada yet, I would try to contact them and kindly ask to send it back to your address. I am not sure will that work, but at least I would try.

good luck.

Hi

Can I use my PRC ( professional Regulatory Commission) as my National ID? Though it will expire this comming november 2014?

and..
Im just curious. Why do some of the members asks about "how to certify a photocopy"?
In the check list, they only said " copies unless other wise state.

Do we need to certify every docs that they require to be copies?

Thanks a lot.

Hi guys, reposting my question again... Do we need to put the generic forms bar code on the top of our applications even before the doc checklist since it is in the Instructions? Thanks in advance.

You can put it that way. No issues :)

Hello Experts,

Do we need to supply the job responsibility/experience letter as original ?
In any form can we use the combination of hand written and types i.e what ever can come in space provided we can type rest we can write ?

Is there provision to update one's case with more supporting documents at a latter stage. I have already applied. If my wife give IELTS now would i be able to update my case to get additional points for adaptability.

Hi Guys,

I am just thinking about my application sent back last time and wanted to be sure that I have no UCI number... Where should they usually place the UCI numbers if I already have one? In the rejection letter?

Thanks in advance

1. Send photocopies, if you wish to send original then you can but don't expect to get it returned.
2. Try to fit by typing. If it is very important and can't fit then only in that condition go for handwritten. However, you can write something like "N/A" by black ink pen wherever necessary.
