Hello Experts and seniors,

May be this is repetitive but I am confused that is why I am asking.

I am mechanical planning to apply under 2132.

Now in form IMM0008_3e in 12(a) I will write my NOC code as 2132. But it says to select my primary occupation from BELOW.

Now ideally my primary occupation should be MECHANICAL ENGINEER as per the NOC, but in 12(b) I am writing my designations / positions and not my occupations. So no where in 12(b) it is written MECHANICAL ENGINEER

It says Senior Engineer, Assitant Manager, Deputy Manger, etc.

Kindly guide what OCCUPATION shall I select and write in 12(a)

for every case (12-a and 12-b) please use ur actual title on the formm (not Mech. engr.) Its ur job title...

Say some one is holding the position as Service Engineer under NOC 2132 (Mech engineer).


He did another Job five years back with another NOC 2133 (Electrical Engg). He worked as Production Engineer which is not included on NOC title on the CIC HRSDC website. By this NOC experience he want to apply.

So for

12 -a: "Identify the primary occupation and corresponding four-digit NOC 2011 code that will be used to assess whether your application meets the minimum program requirements:

Occupation : Production Engineer NOC : 2133

12 -b: Starting with your current occupation, list all of the occupations that you have had in the 10 years preceding the date of your application.

First occupation : Service Engineer NOC : 2132

Second Occupation : Production Engineer NOC : 2133


Here is the CIC guidelines for Schedule-3:

Question 12
Your work experience

a) Identify the primary occupation and corresponding four-digit NOC 2011 code that will be used to assess whether your application meets the minimum program requirements. Choose one occupation from the list you provide in your answer to 12b).

Exaxtly Ziyad bro, U need add two self addressed mailing label with ur application package...This is bcoz, CIC can send this package easily to ur address in case ur file need to be returned...

I have been studying in US for the last 5 years so it is my country of residence. I am originally from Jordan so it is country of origin.
When filling MY TRAVELS FORM should I include travels between these two countries>
The instructions say to list all trips outside your country of origin or of residence in the last ten years.

I am confused!

Include travels for all countries except Jordan and US.

CIC tells:

"List all trips you have taken outside your country of origin or of residence in the last ten years (or since your 18th birthday if this was less than ten years ago). Include all trips: tourism, business, training, etc."

In generic application form it asks for uci number for spouse n dependents.....is it same as principle applicants uci number??? shall I write same ....or shud I leave it blank?

I plan to use the IMM5620 Fee Payment formt to pay with a Credit Card which is in my wife's name since my CC (primary applicant) is not valid for 9 months. I see that I can include the "Name of Payer" as my wife's name. Should the "Address of Payer" be the address that is associated with the Credit Card?

Yes u can pay by ur spouse and the address is for the payer...
