Thanks Ashif. My wife's brother has got permanent residency in Canada but he's not living there as yet. He's still in USA. Can we claim points for this? Though he has got PR, he is not staying there still. Please advice

Dear Brother,

I will suggest u to take required job experience letter from prev employer if possible with letter head. If not possible then write down all duties for each employer urself and then affidavit that (worst cases). Then send with a cover letter why u were unable to get it on letter head paper.

i have seen a such case like u....

All the best.

Thks bro ! '+1' for you :)

One more query: My work exp for eligible NOC is 1 yr 51 weeks (1 week short of 2 yrs).. In the Form, shall I check the box for
a). 1 year but less than 2yrs or b). 2yr but less than 3 yr.. i want to get the max points for 2 years :)

any update about the announcement they were going to make on 26 april,2014?

Hi,

My friend has 4 year B.Tech from India and over a decade experience in Systems Analysis. Also a Masters in Computer science 2 years but unfortunately that US university is not accredited. So how do I check eligibility? Single age under 35.

They don't have a qualifying diploma for the qualifying experience.

Can he apply under the NOC 2171?

Also how to ensure that application reaches by May 1st 2014?

Yes its photocopies only which need to be notarized... :)

I guess it should be just photocopies.. They will not reject if NOT NOTARIZED. Am I correct? Any one who got PR in past without notarized copies. Please confirm..

it should be notarized..

Hi Ashif, please email me at azhar.hussain2@gmail.com. I need some personal help. Please.

In form IMM0008, in dependent section, it is written:

Question 12 - select the type of dependant from Type A,B and C.

Type A The dependant is under the age of 22 and is single (not
married and not in a common-law relationship).

Type B The dependant has been continuously enrolled in and in attendance as a
full‑time student at a post-secondary institution accredited by the relevant
government authority and has depended substantially on the financial
support of a parent either:
since before the age of 22, or
since marrying or entering into a common-law relationship (if it
happened before the age of 22).

Type C The dependant is 22 years of age or older, has depended
substantially on the financial support of a parent since before
the age of 22, and is unable to provide for himself or herself
because of a medical condition.

My wife is working in an MNC and is an engineer by degree. Please suggest what 'Type' she is ?

You can check your eligibility at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp#eg72b

It is advised by all the seniors to check whether any form has been changed on 1st may and then send the application.

Hi,

I just want to ask again if documents like College Diploma, Professional Certificate, High School Diploma needs to be Certified True Copies and not just Copies (as stated in the checklist)?

Thanks,
