Hello Seniors,

Good News - I received my MR request today by email ;D. Will update the spreadsheet!

I have few questions:

1) I submitted PCC with my application. I am June 25th applicant, my PCC was as of August 2013. I was told CIC will ask for new PCC if they are not within 3 months of the application. However in the list of documents they did not ask for PCC. Just as a precaution, I just sumbmitted my request for FBI PCC last week (knowing they now take 12-16 weeks). This is then good for me that they did not ask me for new PCC Just wanted to check if visa office ask for PCC later?

2) Also , the MR mail asks the medical to be done within 30 days from today an send them the results within 60 days. My wife is pregnant and expecting baby by mid Jan , so I have to ask for extension. How do i do that? Is it by case specific enquiry tool that i have seen or in today's MR email from CPC Ottawa they provided an email address - should i send it to them?

3) Once I get extension, is it hold good for me as well or only for my wife? In other words should I go for medical exam within 30 days or can i go along with my wife? Also will my baby need medical then at that stage?

4) I also received RPRF request. Can it be paid after medicals? do i need to pay RPRF for my baby later?

I am sorry - this is lot of questions , but as usual I hope seniors can help here. Thanks a lot as usual!!!

Hi everyone ,

I want to ask , that while filling the form IMM0008 , in the part where you need to fill out the personal details , it must be filled as per the passport. Therefore, in my passport, the GIVEN NAME is blank, No first name/given name is mentioned on my passport , only surname is mentioned.

1) So while filing out the form , Shall I write NA in the box next to the GIVEN NAME or shall I leave it blank or shall put a "-" ?

Same goes for the economic form , question no 7 , where you need to mention or specify the assets, liabilities in Dollars, settlement funds etc ...

2) Now my question is that , I am only showing them settlement funds , as I will ONLY submit the Balance certificate from my bank , which will fulfil the Proof of Funds requirements as per my case, so I will write the amount of dollars in front of the box of Settlement Funds ... But what should I write in the box next to the ASSETS and LIABILITIES ? Shall I write NA or shall I leave it blank ?

3) And I will write the amount of settlement funds, now this amount has to be same as specified on my Bank balance certificate , right ? Or I shall write the amount required by Proof of funds factor ?

Please advice ..

I have also one name and that is family name. I am already in Canada. I didn't face any problem in getting student visa and study permit though face some problem in opening bank account. What I did was just left given name blank in different immigration form and it worked.

Q1, i have no idea, never encountered such a problem.
Q2&3, in my case, i write the number of my bank balance in Asset, 0 in liability, and the number of my bank balance in Settlement funds.

I am 20th June applicant with Paris AOR sent on 05 November
But rest assured, the medical request should arrive by tomorrow as per my observations.

What happens sometimes is they pull up your old medical, by old I mean no older than 1 year(most cases). So in that case they directly request RPRF. Going for Medical again while previous medical is still valid doesn't make any sense, and it is also waste of money and time. So that might be the reason I told to check ECAS.

PCC: Let take me for an example. I am not the only one with name GOKU, so they run a criminality check of my name, they find few/many cases associated with name GOKU, but to clarify that I am not the one who got charged they ask me for PCC, and if no trace found they wont ask for PCC. That's why they have suggested not to submit Canadian PCC also for those applicants who are in Canada for more than 6 months. They can access Canadian Criminal profile database. So, if they find something they will request otherwise they wont.

Why would fraud party advice someone to pay fund to CIC & what they have to do with PA's CV? It should be genuine from my point of view.

You misunderstood (maybe I wasnt clear enough). I asked the lady to check if she is paying the RPRF fee as per CIC instructions. I did not mean CIC is asking her to pay someone else. But a scam can be done by interested parties. It pays to be careful.

Fishy Point #1
As you can see from her post, OP has NEVER been asked for a Medical. Even if she was in Canada, she would be asked to go through this.
She has obviously never gone through it where she is (Algeria / Andorra / France / Gibraltar / Libya / Tunisia | as her file is with the Paris VO).

Your PCC explanation is correct, ONLY IF the OP is in Canada. She obviously isn't.

But what really takes the cake is RPRF fee request with a request for CV. That had some bells ringing for me about scams.

Why would CIC/VO ask for payment of RPRF for un-verified work experience? I find it very fishy. At RPRF stage, OP should be 100% background clear. No MR, no PCC, no Work Experience verification - just RPRF?

Frankly, I wouldn't be very surprised if it is a scam. It is highly unlikely, OP has missed all previous communication OR that Paris has not sent AOR as you can see from the sheet that they almost always do send the AOR.
Also Paris has not yet (atleast on the ss) waived MR or PCC for anyone. Why should this case be any different??

I do believe Najeh should be VERY CAREFUL AND CHECK EVERYTHING BEFORE any Payment is made. a CSE would not harm her case, nor would a quick check on eCAS as you suggest.

I just need an urgent advice please. My application was sent back for the reason that the WES credential assessment I have submitted was a photocopy not the original one! I felt soooo stupid for this

I could send back my application with my original ECA...my question is do I need to fill up all the forms all over again or I could use the old forms that I have submitted earlier?

I did not get the original WES report last year so I ordered Duplicate WES and submit the same in FSW2013 and was considered
I took the photocopy DUPLICATE WES report it looks same like I submit last year
I wanted to know the photocopy of Original WES report also look like original OR it shows PHOTOCOPY printed everywhere on the report

Looks to me from your link that TRV is not processed at Paris VO. All countries under Paris for PR are under London for TRV. Only London, Ottawa, Manila and ND process TRV. We seem to be in a hurry to conclude all is well. I am still skeptical and want to be able to prevent all my friends from being scammed

Well the RPRR was sent to me in french as per my choice on application file.
I sent fresh PCC along with initial application, so it wasn't requested from me this time.
regarding my country, I am from Algeria which is certainly not exempt from medical test procedures.
