Question on taking parents to Canada -

I'm settled in India and in process of getting my way cleared for Canada. After I reach Canada with my spouse and kids, I need to bring my parents there as soon as possible.

After I reach there, how soon can I apply for their visa?
Will they be able to get a PR or I need to call them on some other temporary visa?
How long with the processing take for their visa?
Any info on the process of applying their visa?

Ok, so you need to get your parents there, here are the options

1. you get them tourist visa and the validity is to live for 6months on a stretch and then leave border and can come back after a day for next 6months. To get this visa you need to apply for them couple of months before their travel. I suggest apply for this visa once you get MR request. this way by the time you are ready to fly, their visa will be in hand and can travel per your plan

2. apply for super visa, this is another way to getting parents. But for that you need to show some income for 1 year and then only file it. on super visa your parents can stay for 2 years on a stretch.

3. when ever PR for parents open up by CIC, apply it.

Sponsoring parents would take time as one has to meet certain conditions to be able to sponsor family such as yearly income. Also, as per information available on net, there are already a huge backlog of applications for sponsorship.

But Canada government also has a special visa called Supervisa for parents & grandparents which allows the parents to stay there for longer duration. I do not have any personal experience in this domain but you can find all necessary information at the link below:

dear seniors. I m 7th August applicant noc 1123. Dd mode. I checked woth bank they said dd is not encashed. I feel nothing was wrong in my application pack. Points calculation was also more than 67. Fulfilling all other requirement. Only thing I feel.might be job letter. Should I send another pack with new job letter. I have eca anf ielts result as wel. Pls guude what should I do .... wait another week ?

lovechitwan, with only 5 posts, i think you are a silent observer not contributing anything to the forum. keep your words calm and composed as they might hurt someone but to answer you, if you talking about NDVO, yes its taking time as we all are waiting for the same. by the way, i can't find you with your forum name in the SS, whats your SpreadSheet name??

CIC is processing PERs for 5-6 August applicants...... Its too early to panic and unfortunately too late for sending addendum.

I would suggest to wait for another 2 weeks and in the meanwhile, send a mail to CIC to know the status of your application.

I had recieved PER on 8 october 2014.

ECAS STATUS SECOND LINE updated on16 NOV 2014 that ...
"we have started processing application on 13 NOV 2014" .

Till today there is no further update, What could be the reason?

can I do CASE SPECIFIC ENQUIRY?

If yes, then what shall I write?
